Just the same, Monks and Martial Arts will forever be affiliated to the Pandaren, but are not exclusive to one race. Same with Death Knights being affiliated with Undead, but are open to other classes through unique lore and customization options too.

If a Tinker is some kind of specialist, then there's really no mutual exclusivity to midget races. This is even more the case when we have Lightforged Warframes and an entire expansion centering on Iron Horde tech showing us how Tech is used by other races. Heck, even Dark Iron Dwarves have Mole Machines as a racial!
Even if, Tinker is still a boring shit.

The demon hunters follow the teachings of Illidan, so it stands to reason that they'd follow their leader in this regard as well.

And that's even without mentioning how their starting zone is time-locked many years ago.
Yet he did not problem with having other races in Illidari.

You mean the demons? Those aren't demon hunters.

Not only demons. No, they are not but they are still part of the Illidari. Maybe just as engineers can be what those races are to tinkers.

Then which ones are you talking about? The only demon hunters are blood elves and night elves.

I don't recall ever reading or hearing about engineering/tinker training having a 1-in-4 survival rate.

Other non demonic races. Yes, they are.

But it probably has 1 in 4 iq requirement.

Azjol nerub - Immediate connection to Necromancers and the Scourge, who were the ones able to take down the entire empire. What do Tinkers have to do with Nerubians?
I was merely using that as an example of players desiring an underground expansion.

Heart of Azeroth - Empowered by the Dragons. The artifact itself is a perfect macguffin for Dragonsworn. It can be used to fight Old
Gods. I'm not even sure what Tinkers have to do with the Heart of Azeroth honestly, as someone who isn't playing the game.
Last I checked, the Heart of Azeroth and the Chamber of the Heart are all Titan tech.

Black Empire - Fighting Old Gods. Dragonsworn is an immediate choice, being direct opposers to Old Gods (War of the Shifting Sands, Cataclysm). Dark Rangers also have a connection now through Sylvanas and Xalatath. What do Tinkers bring again? Oh, Tech doesn't get corrupted by old god magic? Good thing Mechs don't expose their pilots then right?
Titan technology could be used against the Old Gods. Thus far the only ones to re-purpose Titan tech has been the Goblin Helix Blackfuse, so who knows?

I think the general point here is that if Blizzard wants the Tinker class in the game, they will twist lore any way they see fit to make it happen.

It's almost obvious they are one of the runners up to be chosen, and there is a lot of support behind the concept. But the simple act of adding them means taking the same route that lead them to Monks being made, and treading the same pitfalls. I'd like to think they're working towards tackling those issues with Mechagon, using it as a testbed to gauge player interest in tech stuff, and hopefully easing players into a full-on tech-based hub with Undermine. That would be amazing.
Nah, Monks came seemingly out of nowhere whereas the playerbase seems to accept the possibility that the Tinker is the next class. IMO, Blizzard has been grooming the playerbase for a Tinker class ever since SoO.

They are? Source on that? Because I don't see any naga demon hunter, or shivarra demon hunter, or any broken demon hunter.

Nver said there are such DH, only that there are other races in Illidari of which DH are part.

If you're not claiming that all members of the Illidari are demon hunters, then that was an incredibly pointless and irrelevant point to bring, because we were talking about training demon hunters, not joining the Illidari.

No. I'm saying that many of them could become DH if Illidan willed to train them.

Er, you lost me there. Tinkers arent recognized for their use of Titan tech, they're identified as using their own technology.

So if you are inferring that they would open up to using Titan tech instead of their own culturally derived technology, then your concept of a Goblin/Gnome derivative Tinker is thrown out the window. By all means, any race can use Titan Tech and we are already using the Heart of Azeroth. If anything, Titan Tech works best as an augmentation, the way Mechagon is allowing us to use Tech without rerolling our characters.

I think that's an even harder sell for a Tech-based class if Blizzard is going to muddle the iconic identity of a Warcraft 3 Tinker with Titan tech, just for the sake of fighting Old Gods. I mean, if they go out of a limb to do that, then there's no reason why any other class couldn't do the same. There's nothing inherrently special about a Tinker that allows them to interface with Titan stuff than any other class - Magni was able to and he is a Warrior of all things.

Well if that's the case, IMO they did a terrible job hyping it up considering it was a shoe-in for the 12th class, and Demon Hunters swooped in and took the spot.h

But he doesn't seem to want to. And he's not the kind of guy to have such a huge change of heart. And he's not here anymore. And there's no need for more demon hunters since the Legion is basically over.

But he didn't have problem with inviting other races into Illidari. Who said tinkers would want to give their teachings to other races? Maybe they are all eccentric mad scientists.

Not really. While every race has been able to use titan artifacts, only a Goblin inventor has been able to repurpose it. Using and repurposing are two very different things. Going along these lines, Mekkatorque and a Goblin equivalent (possibly Gazlowe) could come up with a warframe that utilizes titan technology that could be used against the Old Gods.

That was because Blizzard viewed Legion as their last opportunity to release a DH class, and they took it. Supposedly they regretted not releasing the class in TBC.

Joining the Illidari =/= becoming a demon hunter, so the point is irrelevant.

They already do. Look at all those engineering trainers, and all those people of other races dealing with technology.

DH are part of Illidari, many of which Illidan treated with great respect.

But the same can be said about Illidari, oh look they already have guys dabbling with fel. And all those other warlocks.

We can't. They never expressed any desire to train anyone else.

Demon Hunters have the same issue Death Knights have had, they exist inside a time capsule.

All Demon Hunters were created/trained before the Black Temple, just like all Death Knights were made by the Lich King before WotLK.

I'm sure they could try that, but...

It diminishes the class identity with Titan tech. Like you said, people want to play as Mekkatorque in a suit. Mekkatorque achieved his greatness all on his own, creating his own devices and his own technology. He didn't repurpose Titan tech to get where he is. That isn't the fantasy that I signed up for. I want the scrappy tech-based explosives-wielding Tinker that we see in Warcraft 3, and to an extent Heroes of the Storm. I don't want to see that diminished by having Titan Power be the reason why suddenly important. That's not fulfilling the fantasy of playing a Mekkatorque or a Gazlowe. I mean, this is one step away from the Azerite macguffin.

I have a feeling they regret a lot of things. Massive sub loss being one of them. If they want to regain those subs, they need a concept that hits it out of the ballpark. IMO, Titan-Tinkers isn't one of those concepts.

Yes. Made them high ranked officers,

They have trained their own in the dark arts.
