Who gives a shit about other people? The House needs to do their job and let the Senate show their true colors. History will judge them accordingly. Inaction only serves to make the House complicit on the same level as the Senate.

If there was more support in the Senate the House would act. If a few GOP Senators starting making these same noises I'm sure Pelosi would be quick to pounce on the opportunity. As it stands they don't feel it's worth the risk of losing 2020 by losing the impeachment play. I can understand that. I don't like it, but I can understand it. I mean, what are the people shouting for impeachment going to do if the House Dems don't start the proceedings? Vote for Trump out of spite? And if they initiate impeachment and then Trump wins because the Senate doesn't go along with it it'll just be another year of Trump gloating on Twitter while the Dems have to bite their tongues. Hell, none of the candidates even want to mention it because it's such a thorny issue.

The GOP in the Senate have already shown their true colors over and over and over again as they support just about everything that comes out of that shithead's puckered mouth. I doubt them voting no on impeachment will be changing anybody's mind on where they stand...but the Dems losing their bid to impeach him will be demoralizing "moral victory" or no. Moral victories are good, but saying "at least I kept my honor" in a duel where the other guy cheated and turned at 5 paces instead of 10 still leaves you bleeding out unceremoniously while they go enjoy a steak dinner. Moral victories mean nothing when you're fighting against people without a conscience.

I want Trump out of office by 2021 inauguration day at the latest and I'll be happy to read about the numerous lawsuits slamming down on him once he is. I don't, however, want another 4 years of his unearned smug face spewing bile on every media platform as a result of the Dems winning "a moral victory". If they have the support in Congress for impeachment, then by all means get the fucker out early. Otherwise I'd rather not put a Democratic candidate's chances in jeopardy just because the rest of the party thinks they'll get a pat on the head for trying.

So Trump is apparently planning to pardon multiple members of the US military or mercenaries from companies like Blackwater who were convicted of war crimes.

Does he truly not understand that this can and will have multiple various implications, all of them bad?
