When you break it down isn't 4chan the closest we have come on any platform to having true equality?

There are no races, gender, age, faith, and even names to identify posts simply a number that is temporarily attached to their IP that users can go even further to remove.

Is this not the ideal of equality? If so why is it never paraded around as the success that it is?

Yes but equality is only a virtue too the extent that it fosters creativity, aka new memes. Even though 99.9% of the content is shit, eventually a diamond emerges from the shitstorm, and it goes viral.
