How we earn gold in Classic ?

Please stop for a moment and think about what you wrote in the context of what is going on. No one will have the gold to buy runecloth at 3 gold a piece, or a stack of 10 copper ore for 5 gold each stack, early on in the game.

For people to spend that much money on what you put in the auction house, they first need to have that much money in their pockets. And that's not happening early on in Classic WoW's life, since no one will start the game with 10k gold already in their possession.

Hence why it's relevant to point out that selling stuff to other players only redistributes the gold. There won't be much "redistribution" if there isn't much gold in players' hands to begin with.

So moral of the story is stock everything on your bank alt ready to dominate AH once people start making gold? Before you put your stuff on the AH, you look at it first to see what the current prices of mats are, if low buy them all up and start controlling your market.

I forgot that, still many 19 twinks used Fiery probably because it was cheaper or idk the reasons but the market for those was pretty good. I dont recall other uses for Small Radiant Shard but if there was any then that too. All I remember is that that was my farming method and I was rich.

The thing is Ive always been a farmer when it comes to goldmaking and I prefer hardwork and investment for it. Others rather play the AH.

I don't remember that ever beeing a thing in Classic because of how scarce gold was.

It depended a lot on your server. Plenty of servers and raids were doing anything they could just to get 40 people even knowing at any given time 5 might be completely afk. Much better groups could and would sell runs, but I am sure there was a lot more cash changing hands than people could get away with today.

Finding an old tank will be easy. 3 DPS who remember that they actually had to use focus fire and a fair amount of CC? Not as easy, imo.

There’s more of us than you might imagine. The real slick ones stand near the healer and frost nova mobs when the healers pull aggro.

The last time I had to kill 5000 of the same mob was for the Vanilla goblin Reputation.

In vanilla - there were no hand outs.

I don't know about that particular method, but I decided at lvl 37 I needed to save up for my mount. Ran Deadmines and disenchanted everything bop. I was lvl 42 by the time I had enough gold to buy my mount. That's 5 levels in a low level dungeon. It sucked, but it worked. Keep in mind this was around month 3 of the game going live, and things didn't sell for much.

Ah I think we have a misunderstanding with how the word "grind" is being used. I've seen people use grinding in regards to gathering herbs, doing quests to level, doing WQs for rep, etc. Grinding isn't simply repeatedly killing mobs, which would explain why you think it doesn't exist.

I did that before posting ... the fact is that the requirement for grinding in WoW went away by at least WoD.

No one said anything about a "required" grind. The simple fact is there was a ton of grinding being done in Legion, as well as BFA.

I know there was no daily quest in classic wow or world quest with emissary . So how we earn gold and where we find it ?

lvl up skinning and mining, find a nice cavern with some beast and many mining node (The ungoro ape cave for exemple) and grind ^^

Camp the high level first aid book vendor and buy every book as it spawns, sell em on the AH -> epic mount in 2 weeks depending on how greedy you wanna be.

how did you get xp in deadmines at 37? Did you used to get xp for mobs 10 levels below?

Chain run dungeons and auction Righteous Orbs. Farm mobs for cloth, pots, etc. If it isn't grey, and you don't need it, auction it. If you're an enchanter, learn the popular twink enchants and auction mats for those enchants. If you're a mage, sell portals. I personally made a tidy profit off Wetlands escorts for alts looking to get to/from IF/Teldrassil on my warrior back in the day.
