I will open by saying prostitution will go mainstream in the next 20 years. Currently it is only legal in parts of Nevada. I think within 20 years, it becomes legal almost everywhere in the US.

this actually isnt very true. its relatively accepted in the US, but try to be a politician or get a corporate job with visible tattoos. not happening. and in some countries they are VERY looked down upon.

i think socialism is the biggest taboo in the US that will become mainstream in the next 20 years. ive been calling myself a socialist since i was a teenager, and in my mid 30s, only now am i starting to find large groups of other americans willing to accept, and even champion that label.

Nobody is saying a 50yr old raping a 10yr old is okay. That's obviously horrible. But people get riled over anything remotely having to do with the safety of children. I admit "irrationally protective" might not be the best wording. But my point is that people's concern over the safety of children is so sensitive and intense that it becomes extreme volatile and irrational. And this is why the ridiculous stuff happens. I remember once posting on a forum (not MMO-Champion), making an analogy between something else and pedophilia in hypothetical scenario, and it so offended people that I got banned.
