Heroes of Might & Magic: Which one do you love?

Around 18 years ago, I encounter HoMM 3:the shadow of death for the first time. I was astonished by the graphics, races, creatures and maps design of the game. However, at the time, I do not have a PC myself, till 8 years later when I entered the uni. At the time, I got HoMM 3 & 5 altogether, then addicted to 5 more due to its handy Necropolis heroes and troops. The only weakness of this game series are you might spent a whole day or whole night battling in a 4-6 players map with underground part.

So Which one do your guys love in this game series?

Yep, such game will take your hrs of time to finish one game, but interesting and exciting. VI seems to have Boss-level neutral creatures which will guard some rare items in the map.

Actually, I love HoMM3 for its hand-drew style map, creatures & everything else. But due to my crappy playing on races of 3, I finally tend to love 5 with simple playing methods.

I mean III is clearly the only right answer, just like Might and Magic VI is by far the best in that series.

Yep, the difficulty & game mechanism of the campaigns needs some research to a perfect pass.

heroes 2 ate my brain in college so badly, its a wonder i managed to pass my classes that semester at all. but my actual fave is 4. don't @ me!

it was the first one that not only let you keep the same hero throughout the campaign, but it let you level them up and make them so ridiculously powerful that you could pretty much keep most of your armies back inside castles, making defense that much more effective. it also made story campaigns that much more interesting and impactful for me.

For me, I love the 3D overview of cities in HoMM V, and dark energy settings for Necropolis~

HoMaM V was also very good; I especially liked the cities. They should've kept that for HoMaM VI.

Three without a doubt. enjoying the HotA fanmade xpac too, really helps with balancing the game and adds new stuff wich fits.

I played 3 and 5 the most and while 3 is pure classic and I played like for half of my life, I believe 5 is the best overall. Homam 5 was also time, where I actually made my first successful "mod" for the game and brought back Treants from beta. Honestly, I loved everything in 5 except 3d camera on adventure map.
