This is such a dystopian fucking nightmare where people are praising youtube for banning ideas. Sure, it's a corporation and not the government, but this is basically majority rule at youtube, and if you can't see the wrong in it, than holy fuck do I weep for what the future will look like.

There is a world of difference between having an idea and how it is presented in terms of YouTube's response. He does not have to continuously mention characteristics of whoever he is disagreeing with. He could merely say "I saw a piece by {{person}} about {{topic}} that I had a few issues with..." and take it from there keeping his critique being on the issue. But ultimately Crowder is just showing he ain't got anything really because he is resorting to personal attacks which is an automatic "I surrender!".

The thing with YouTube is, and has always been, about following the money. This controversy pops up and they see advertisers fleeing again until we refer to it as Adpocolpyse III. That's all they care about. This drama just shined a light on Crowder and his content and advertisers may not want to be associated with that. Especially since YouTube is the arbiter of that since they regularly demonetize anything pretty much.

I was actually going to ask if the shirt did indeed say "figs" because people kept saying both "figs" and "f*gs". If it does actually censor the "i", it's pretty clear what that t-shirt is going for.

It's clearly not "figs"; the vowel's replaced with an image. And I can't take the "it's meant to be 'figs'" claim seriously, because "socialism is for figs" makes no sense. Nor can you say it's short for "figures", cause he used an image of a fig fruit. And it doesn't explain the limp-wrist hand. Claiming it's "figs" is just an attempt to avoid consequences, when it's really clear what's intended.
