Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is my favorite. I also really like Haikyu and Food Wars. Naruto and Naruto Shippuden were an annoying ride but a worthwhile one by the end imo. I also like One Piece but I binge it like once every arc due to the poor pacing of the anime. Speaking of which My Hero Academia is the best shonen hands down. I also really liked Your Lie in April and Steins Gate as well. I could go on and on about anime. I tend to alternate between video games and anime as my main hobby. I haven't been watching any anime lately due to playing a lot of games and also just being busy irl.

Berserk, Gungrave, Monster, D-Gray Man, Hellsing Ultimate, Code Geas, FMA, both of them.
Of course I like the mainstream ones too, but yeah.

Basically any anime that is good and I find enjoyable.

My absolute favorites (and ones that I have watched 2-10 times) are:

    Urusei Yatsura
    Dragon Ball
Ranma (vastly prefer the manga at 20+ reads)
    Dirty Pair TV/OVAs
    Dirty Pair Flash 1/2/3
    Kemono Friends
    Patlabor (everything)
    Sailor Moon
    Mahoromatic
    Hunter x Hunter
    Princess Nine
Slayers (and all the movies and OVAs)
    Azumanga Daioh
    Lucky Star
    Cardcaptor Sakura
    Outlaw Star
    Please Teacher/Twins
    Pretty Derby
    Princess Tutu
    Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
Tenchi Muyo (everything including side series like Geminar, GXP, and Parallel Dual)
    Excel Saga
    Chiyo's School Road
    You're Under Arrest
Burn Up (various series and OVAs)

I could go on but you get the picture.
Well, that's a whole collection of animes, with various aspects. You might be able to add Votoms to your series, that;s another brilliant series with 30+yrs history and nice story plot.

The main Character of Berserk, Guts, seems to be the most tragic main character within animations, but also the strongest ones in mental aspects.

Hellsing was nice but it was unfortunately a bit short IMO.
haha, you can start with Gundam UC series, it's the earliest and have most normal works and OVAs. It have a relatively perfect world design overall.

I owned the early DVDs back in 2000+. Sold them a while back though.

I'll probably snag the SDBD collection at some point.

    Edit:

Wow, this is a damn great deal!

    Edit 2:
I also left out Battle Athletes TV/OVA and Maison Ikkoku. I've watched those 3-4 times as well.

Macross 7, animation songs within are nice, still listening to some of them now.

Made in Abyss is modern day classic with visuals of Studio Ghibli and the darker themes of a horror film.

One of the most underrated anime of Fall 2016. Overall rating [9.3/10]

Story [10/10] - This is not your typical anime with exposition, climax, and resolution. It's like you are reading a book. And in this case, a very good one. The experiences come fast and furious for the main character Corey, but the center of his universe while growing up'. You will love how the story goes from silent to being dramatic, and from that to being so comedic. One time you will be crying, and then the next thing you know you've been laughing along with the character's dialogues.

Art [10/10] - I've watched a fair amount of anime, and I speak for everyone when I say that this kind of art style is very unique. The way how every scenes were drawn into perfection, and how it can easily change your feelings toward the story make this anime one of a kind.

Sound [2/10] - The opening and ending songs were the only letdown or this would be a full 10/10.

Character [9/10] - Although the main character has a deep background. It's not that rare nowadays for most of them to have a very tragic backstory.
This is a very underrated original Japanese animation. I applaud you for your great taste.

Hmm, this is hard to answer for me be honest. but lets try

    Cowboy Bebop
    Steins-Gate
    Black Laboon
    Berserk
    One Piece

I'm still not sure which series is my favorite. I guess all of them are my number 1.

Yep, it's hard to choose which are favorite, really, there are loads of brilliant works there. Cowboy Bebop seems to popular among users here, I've seen multiple guys mention it, seems it's time to watch it, haha~

Aside from general recommendations like Fullmetal Alchemist (especially the second series), Parasyte, Attack on Titan, Goblin Slayer, the Fate/ series, Bungou Stray Dogs, Kimetsu no Yaiba, One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 I am a giant sucker for isekais so I'll add some others: Tensei shitara slime datta ken, Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, Hai to gensou no Grimgar, Youjo Senki.

Looking forward to Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou, Maou-sama Retry, Uchi no Ko no Tame Naraba Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru Kamo Shirenai, Isekai Cheat Magician and Dr. Stone next season. Also Vinland Saga (haven't read it myself but people seem to have been waiting for this one a long time).
Scanning AniDB just now I realize this'll be a pretty good year with Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan o Erande Iraremasen and Mairimashita! Iruma-kun in autumn (next to Boku no Hero Academia and Psycho-Pass 3 of course).

And while it's still unknown when it will air I can't wait for Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei Shiteshimatta...
I don't give two flying fucks that it's supposed to be Shoujo, the mc is so adorable.

I would have looked forward to Kumo desu ga, Nani ka too but the first trailer destroyed all hope in it with overuse of bad CG and the horrible interpretation of the mc's look (It's a fucking spider, give it the spider eyes it has in the manga, they're at least as expressive as the shit they did).
