Organs, do you eat them?

That's a good point. I do love sausage, but I am not sure what they put in ours here. Just says beef, pork or turkey, chicken. Which I guess could mean any parts of those animals. :P

If you have similar rules on food production to the UK, if it says pork, chicken, beef on something as an ingredient then it has to actually be meat from that animal. Organs (offal) do not count as meat so can't be used if it says 'pork' for example.

As to how they get that 'meat' in some cases and are still allowed to call it pork, chicken or beef, well that's another thread altogether . . .

I eat liverwurst and other sausages that probably have organ meats, but I never acquired a taste for anything more.

For real though, I ate liver when i used to eat meat like a decade ago. All I remember about it was "this is an odd taste".

Liver goes well with fava beans and a nice chianti.
