    Has anyone noticed this too?

I don't get why there is an abundance of gear (armor pieces) being thrown out to people but no weapons. I'm at the point where my toon is geared with 410s and 415s but is still using 350/370 weapons. I'm not sure why there is such a poor rng on weapons. If you play a dps class, you know weapons is crucial part of your gear and with nearly weapons never dropping, this holds me back in climbing mythics.

Before you say, "oh you should do this, you should do that." Let me stop you right there, I have been farming mythics, warfronts, world bosses, emissary's and raids for weeks and have not seen a weapon drop.

My experience is quite the opposite! I have 430+415 with socket and am still rockin 395 trinkets and rings. Those jewels never seem to drop for me

Rng is rng, I've gotten 5 415 weapons so far and I'm using a 420 weapon.

There is a 410 weapon from conquest points.

As a caster the increase for 15 ilvl is around 14% on a staff, its around 11% on legs.

Since weapon damage damage is irreverent now, everyone is in the same boat.

    Put effort in, dont complain.

I don't understand why this is such a shock to you. Weapons (and trinkets) have been scarce since the game was released. Say what you want to about WOD but their catch up mechanic allowed trinkets and weapons to be obtained.

I kind of wish they brought back artifacts and then we can upgrade our artifact weapons by doing stuff. I really hate this current weapon fiasco atm, like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

There was a dungeon wq a couple of days ago for 400+ ilevel weapon (I've had the "nerfed" ilevel 370 weapon from nazj introduction quest). Rings and trinkets come from mechagon crafting, rng of course. World quests even give 390+ (blue ) now.

Again how was vanilla, BC, Cata, WotLK, and MOP any different? There were no catch up weapons and weapons (and trinkets) were hard to come by. Yes BC had weapons you could buy with points and MOP had weapons you could buy with timeless isle coins but other than that, there were no catch up weapons. WOD was the only one that had catch up weapons so you could actually get shit you wanted. Legion didn't have any weapons at all so you can't even compare that with any other expansion. So again I ask, how is BFA any different than every other expansion in WoW?

This first week I've bonus rolled 3 ilvl415 cloaks, two from the raid, one from a key. My cloak was already my highest item.

Doesn't everyone get a 410 or 420 weapon from their first conquest cap?

Also, you can obtain that same conquest cap from doing Battles in Nazjatar, never setting foot into instanced PVP.

I did the Naz world boss on my main (hunter) and was denied a bonus roll for the weapon. which was actually good in hindsight, cause first boss in EP I bonus rolled a warforged weapon

    Since we are flexing

    I got a 415 weapon from nazj boss...with a gem socket
Warfront heroic drops a 430 wrist with optimal stats...with a gem socket
Bonus roll on a Mythic +2 and get optimal stats warforged waist...with a gem socket

I should play in the casino the item level of some of this pieces is not amazing but for me is pretty good.

There's a lot of people posting about the conquest weapon, or explaining how "it's always been this way".

But I think the OP had another valid point: Why is Blizzard so obsessed with making weapon upgrades difficult or annoying to obtain?

Back in the days before Xmog there was a status to displaying your weapon or shoulder armor. Blizzard even made a post explaining how they intentionally made those equipment slots more unique and recognizable to promote them as status symbols.

But now? In modern wow? What's the purpose of making weapon upgrades more rare?

Talks about how the very first week gives a weapon. Then the very next sentence complains about Blizzard is "so obsessed" with making weapon upgrades difficult. The mental dissonance is real.

just as a small info, if the dungeons WQ gives an int weapon, it is not guaranteed to also give a str or agi weapon as well.
had a case where people in the guild were talking about getting a good weapon in a dungeon, and my rogue would have gotten boots from that same WQ.

Just sounds like bad luck. Got ilvl 385-420 weapons across 8 characters as a 'casual' player, meaning no mythics, only world bosses, emissary, warfront (N) and world quests - and of course conquest cap weekly (how I get 2x 410 ilvl weapon on my rogue)
