The entire concept of the movie is deeply flawed.

There is basically nothing new. A few alterations to dialogue and some song texts, a few minor characters, but nothing of consequence. The story is the exact same. Literally. The shots are often the same, frame by frame. The music is the same, note by note.

But here is what is missing. The character. While the voice actors (in the german version, can't speak for the english one) do an amazing job, the animals don't show any expression because... well, they are animals. They don't have facial expressions like we do, or like their handdrawn counterparts have. While you can hear anguish, sorrow, happiness, love and fear, you don't see it. The animals move naturally, but talk. Which makes for a deeply disturbing experience.

There is nothing bad to say about the movie, but there is nothing good to be said either, except for the visuals. They are great! But overall this movie was entirely pointless, except for making money.

Also Tyrone Magnus thought it was a good movie and he pretty mutch has the same movie taste as myself.

Finally got to see this today and I gotta ask why I keep torturing myself by seeing these remakes?

Actors are great and the visuals are great, unfortunately the two together are as disjointed as me in a kids jungle gym. Either go watch this movie if you are deaf or blind, not both....

All this movie made me want to do is watch the original Lion King

Yeah that one was fine.

Nothing beats the originals and if I were to go to the movies with kids, I would organize an oldschool Disney movie-marathon instead, but the 2016 movie was watchable.
