Should also note Dybala's agent isn't a registered one, and is just a friend of the family.
But blocking a move because you, a third party, want to hold a multi player swap deal to ransom is bullshit. If I were United, I'd give Dybala the wage he wants on the grounds he find a new agent.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.
The player chooses to have an agent act on his behalf, theyre fully capable of doing it without the agent. Man Utd do not need to ever have any contact with an agent in this whole process. The player choosing to send the agent to negotiate the contract is on the player. Nothing at all to do with the club signing him.

Fully agreed, send back a contract with "We'll pay all the wages demand, but we don't want to pay the agent a single penny. You want this contract or not?"
Fully agreed for all players. The most obvious example is Kante at Chelsea: no agent, no bollocks, no nothing, he deals with them directly like an adult. Imagine having to get a negotiator or a group of lawyers to do the talking every time one of us mere mortals was going for a new job . I know it's not exactly the same, but these guys have all the time in the world to sit down, learn a couple of things, negotiate their own jobs and then yes, if they want to be safe, pass their contract through a legal office that specialises on football/sports contracts. They would sure as hell not charge 13m for that service.
But then again who has time for all these when you are busy with emojis, haircuts, posing, twitter, instagram, chillin in fancy destinations, posting fortune-cookie level bullshite etc etc? Priorities I guess
I really dont understand how this has even come about. We use agents in all walks of life, and in every other case its up to the person who contracts the agent to pay out of their pocket. If I use an estate agent to sell my house, I pay them from the proceeds, not the buyer. Yet in football it seems they have become an additional fee to be put onto the buying club. I'd say to Dybala you can do whatever you want with the money (pay your mate 13mill if you so wish), but it comes from your wages.
Looks like the Dybala deal is off, he wants too much money and doesn't seem committed, I guess they don't want a repeat of Di Maria fiasco.
No Dybala
No Bruno Fernandes
Lukaku gone
No replacement at all OR 33 y/o Mandzukic
Still haven't technically replaced Fellaini or Herrera in midfield
What's another PL season without a meltdown?
No Dybala i see as a good thing since it was obvious he didn't really want to join and just throwing more money on another player who dont really wanna be here will not be a good idea so i think it was a good idea to not go through with it.
No Fernandes sucks. Was really hoping to see him in United. Seems like alot of serious reports coming in lately that it was very close and then nothing. No idea what happened, but United really need another central midfielder. Really sucks this.
Lukaku haven't really worked out at United so probably best for both parties to just move on and let United get some money for once.
Atleast the defence is looking alot more solid now with Wan-Bissaka and Maguire.
Yup, no Dybala isn't the worst of things as he never wanted to be there anyway.
Lukaku training with Anderlecht's U18 team apparently
Mignolet is back to Belgium as well. Did not expect that, though I guess at this point he just wants to be in actual matches.
Jose must be fuming somewhere. United doing everything he wanted them to do but a year late.
United not chasing Dybala and jumping through all the hoops is a welcome change for Ed Woodward.
Not sure what's going on with Fernandes, paper twlk suggests a late bid for Eriksen too.

I agree with the first point, however to me it felt from the beginning like Dybala did not want to come to us under any circumstances and he was presenting any valid-sounding excuse under the sun to block the move. Which for me makes the whole affair a waste of 5 days on something we already knew, while it seems like we ignored doing anything for a position we really are extremely thin in terms of numbers and quality, especially if you consider the "we only do one deal at a time" zinger from Ed.
Regarding Fernandes, I hope we are just making those statements in order to get Sporting to reduce their price. Not that it's a clever thing to do with 3 days remaining on the transfer window, but the alternative (we really aren't interested in him or anybody else for mid and we'll stay as we are) is beyond moronic and I refuse to even consider it as being the case.
I'd be happy with either of the two though personally I think I would be more hyped with Fernandes mostly because I kinda don't like the idea of big transfers between the top 6 PL clubs. Sanchez is still an Arsenal player in my eyes and Eriksen's been at Spurs for several years so it would be really strange to see him in a MU shirt. He would be the "safe" bet out of the two I guess.
Yay, time for lower table mediocrity in the FF.
Cant believe Manchester United doesnt just sign up Fernandes. They can just sell Lukaku, get the money and spend it on Fernandes. Id rather have a strong defense & midfield and miss out on a striker this transfer window. Can manage fine on top with options like Rashford, Martial, Sanchez and maybe Greenwood.
its so god damn obvious that the team needs a midfield player like Fernandes. This can probably be the tipping point if this is going to be a great season, or another mediocre one. With Fernandes in, this season can be GOOD.
