1) How to install addons for classic WoW using the Twitch App:




2) How to manually install addons for classic:
- Visit the addon page and click to download the WoW Classic version (bottom right corner):



And then:
- In the Bnet launcher, select World of Warcraft > Options > Show In Explorer
- Open the World of Warcraft folder and go: /_classic_/Interface/AddOns/
- Extract the .zip file downloaded into this AddOns folder.
- Make sure when you open the folder of the extracted addon, there's a .toc file there, otherwise it won't work.

Those people are silly, we had addons in Vanilla. That's how my guild was able to down Chromaggus: with DBM. As a DPS you were expected to use KLH Threat meter.

BTW where is the threat meter addon?

Addons and UI customization was just as important in Classic as it is in current WoW. It was one of the main draws of WoW.

yeah, i remember feeling so naughty about it because coming over from d2 "addons" aka hacks were banned so when my friend told me to get a map addon i was like isn't this basically maphack? but nope it was allowed. made it really cool

The absolute purest gameplay comes from not using any addons at all. I don't get why people would do that either, but that's their business, not mine. However, I will say that I am one of those people that actively ignored addons until Wrath. I never saw a need for them before that, as I wasn't raiding, only playing with buddies and doing dungeons.

Now..... Oh, I have so so many addons that I don't want to play without. I can if I have to, I just don't WANT to. But if I ever started on Classic, I would certainly do it without any at all to begin with. Just because that's what I did back then. And then maybe later add some fun stuff. Maybe.

Nothing wrong with a few vanilla addons revamped for classic. Like, Prat. I remember Prat. It makes you chat pretty... map coords wont increase my dps unless it helps me find some secret rare item. Now that looking for group addon. That was taking it abit far. That was oQueue level of wtfdatsrong. Youre undermining the design of classic while taking interface concept from live; not classic.
