No you moron, he's a brand new wow player that's decided to try classic with RL friends. He literally killed a few things during all that lag and got suspended within 2 minutes
we've no idea hes phoning up today, but someone else here mentioned people were randomly reporting people for the lulz to get them booted off servers.
So blizz were warning players about this, numerous times, people still stayed. Also imagine your planned guild start was on that realm and your friends already had a character in that realm. Then what? How many would be bitching as fuck, why blizz separated them from their friends?
New realms opened, already with queue...
Are you guys Eu? I'm having no problems whatsoever on my NA realms. I can go in...I can go out....I can go in...and die...then I move along to greener pastures...then I go back in. Queues this am are all gone.
11k queue right now on herod US. The other major landing spots like faerlina, skalagg, skeram, etc are probably all similar. Maybe you're on pve which likely has a lower demand?
I do think that Blizzard should have looked at the numbers in polls, on server discords, etc before launch and their initial server offering should have been wider. Once guilds had communicated out to everyone what server they would be on it only causes confusion if they change it, so now all the originally announced pvp servers are beyond hammered. It was never realistic to have that few servers.

Well, 13k on Everlook and 7,8k on Razorfen german PVE. 23k on Lucifron and 8k on Venoxis german PVP right now. If you started yesterday on german realms you are basically fucked if you want to keep your progress. Fun times, I'm looking forward to the weekend.

Maybe someone can do similar calc for US realms ?

I might get some time in tonight but my plan for the moment is going to bed early and getting up at about 3-4am to play a few hours before work. It worked this morning at least...
This isn't meant to sound rhetorical, so sorry if it does, but why are people talking about an issue of "One in one out" I thought the entire point of layering is that it avoided this issue. I can understand if login servers can only handle X000 per minute and so the login part can have to be queued as tens of thousands attempt to log in; but it shouldn't be dependant on people logging out to let more in, they just open a new layer?
Welp, now Mograine has a 15k queue. ^^" See you in a few days, I guess...
Fair enough but I thought they also anticipated a massive drop off in interest by that point. I don't see a problem with them opening new servers I'd sooner there were many more, I was just curious because I read people were saying the reason queues don't move or move at varying rates was because it was dependant on someone who is already online deciding to log off. Which encourages people to try to stay online as long as possible even if they aren't playing so as to not lose their "spot" which only makes the problem worse.
I clearly just didn't understand why they put layering in; my bad.
