I dont even understand what you are asking? Or why this needs a seperate thread.
There are websites for checking statics i guess.. what you ahould roll should not be in a thread.. choose what you like.

Basically they measure this by traffic towards related classes resources. Not exactly 100% solid metric, but IMO it should be close. Mages clearly are super popular for one, especially with all the AoE shenanigans.
Warriors and Mages, then rogues, for dps, don't bother creating a crappy spec like ret or enhance or you will regret it later.
On Mograine EU (A), like 70% of what i see is gnome mage, 20% is gnome warlock and 10% is rest of the DPS world. I carricature a bit but it is more or less that.
Most warriors with higher levels only tank and are carried by aoe mages. DPS ones seem to have reroll mage already for leveling cheat (aoe spamfest).
So far as leveling process go, the only two most desirable classes are mages and locks. You can roll something else, but expect to have problems finding groups where mage is "auto-include" pretty much. Most rogues i see are stuck around 20ish where Mages &co are all 45+.
For end game Rogue is really good. And don't expect to see THAT many because a lot of them already re-rolled fotm (mage).

ive started with making a overview of the cencus addon. it shows clearly the distribution of classes in PVP server. im working on a PVE overview as we speak: https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/..._on_eu_realms/
thanks for the replies, for now it seems like rogue isnt as popular as i expected
The community in Classic is infinitely better than the toxic cesspool of retail. So yes I'm sure Rets will still be able to get invites, especially with no LFD, raider.io, gearscore etc. Your reputation in the community is more important than spec, if you get a good reputation you will be invited to many groups.
