Stopped from playing PUBG, 21-year-old game addict beheads dad, slices his limbs

Irked over his father allegedly restricting him from playing mobile game 'PUBG’, a 21-year-old youth beheaded him at Siddeshwar Nagar in Kakati village of Belagavi in the wee hours of Monday. The accused also reportedly sliced his father's hand and leg.

The deceased has been identified as Shankar Devappa Kumbhar (61), a resident of Siddeshwar Nagar in Kakati village.

The arrested son is identified as Raghuveer Kumbhar.

According to sources close to the family of the deceased, the accused Raghuveer, student of a polytechnic was poor in studies and had failed thrice in his examinations.

Addiction to the mobile game as well as suspected drug abuse is said to be the reason behind his failures which was upsetting his parents, sources further added.

    suspected drug abuse
lol... Talk about burying the lead.

But I'm sure it was the vile video game, and not any underlying mental issues that led him to do this.

This is one of many examples of how violent media fuels or nurtures psychopathic tendencies that inevitably erupt into murder. I think what people mistake is thinking it *creates* these tendencies. No, it just makes it worse.

Sounds to me like internet/gaming addiction + some other mental health disorder(s).

Once again they blame the video games when there is a good chance that the problem comes from his drug addiction. kek.

I wonder what people blamed violent behavior on when "violent media" didn't exist? I mean, humans have been killing each other since the start. If the Bible is to believed, one of Adam and Eve's son killed at least one of his brothers over some perceived slight.

Well, in 1980s it was D&D!

...i went to look up what could go in 1800s, and apparently they had reading holding that blame:
back in the 18th century many prominent voices were concerned about the threat posed by people reading too much. A dangerous disease appeared to afflict the young, which some diagnosed as reading addiction and others as reading rage, reading fever, reading mania or reading lust. Throughout Europe reports circulated about the outbreak of what was described as an epidemic of reading. The behaviours associated with this supposedly insidious contagion were sensation-seeking and morally dissolute and promiscuous behaviour. Even acts of self-destruction were associated with this new craze for the reading of novels.

Remember people games are more deadly than drugs.

Also according to the media, being a game addict is a more important headline than being a drug addict.

    10/10 linking a shitposting article.

You're one to talk given the hate threads you made. Who pushed you to post those? Probably some aggressively mad delusion about someone doing things to you when they're not. One could argue that hate speech is a product of sociopathy and considering you like to bully disabled people I wouldn't be surprised if you have some sort of disorder yourself.

How is it Machismo is banned and you're not?

I'd just add him to your ignore list. It's what I did, as I don't find his comments all that "enlightening."

I don't think you can reach a reasonable answer when you use an unreasonable source as a jumping point. I mean, 'if the bible is to believed' then you already have your answer to why violent behaviour exists. The Bible states we're all born sinners.

But of course, that doesn't make a good clickybaity headline.

Imagine what he would have done if he was playing an actual good game.
