They are taking this issue very seriously and even liking anime tiddies on facebook can get the governments eyes on you.

    Be careful what you share!!

Not "anime concentration camps." It's more of a boot camp along those lines to discipline youths too absorbed into escapism, mostly in regards to electronics and video games. China has a bigger problem with that. There was a famous doctor that used electrotherapy for video game addiction there.

I honestly approve of that practice in general. Electronic and social media addiction is a huge problem.

    Ridiculous!

    Of course not.

This world where drawing, polygons and textures are more offensive for their exposure rather than all the murder, blood and gore on other games. It's ridiculous.

And for reference, you can jack off to whatever game you want. It will never be illegal. Nor will it be owning them. As long as it's not real people.

Wait, did you really just say you approve of electrotherapy for electronic and/or social media addiction?

Oh you want proof those reformation camps exist

    Wow. You're quite the card.

    1) No mention of lolicon materials. Everything just says child pornography.
    2) This was only due to the sheer volume he purchased/possessed seeing as how he is big time collector.
    3) New Zealand is notorious for its hard stance on obscenity (which is probably going to get worse before it gets better...).
    4) This specifically states the guy had already been convicted of real child porn and was on probation, and that viewing lolicon violated his parole.

I get the feeling you don't really know much on this subject and just punched something like "lolicon arrest" into Google and copied some results here without even really reading them. I mean, you linked to fucking TV Tropes rather than an actual news article for one...
MadThad (I'm not linking to this story just google it)
Everything I'm seeing says the guy had real child porn and argued in favor of legalizing. Sounds like a regular NAMBLA nutjob to me.

Where did I say a thing about the camps? If you aren't going to read what people write you probably should stop responding to them... Now... Go back and read what was written.

I asked if really just said you approved of electrotherapy for electronic and/or social media addiction? It's a simple question, its a yes or a no.

then you claimed well at least one evidence to the contrary would be Rapelay discussed earlier in the thread...

    then I said,

Yes electrotherapy for online addiction is cool. Yongxin isn't even a criminal or anything, he's been granted honors for his work. No idea why you disapprove.

So you're fine with going in for your first session of (electro)shock therapy?

Let's not forget that electroshock therapy is only used now (for the most part) as a sort of last resort for the more serious issues like mania, catatonia, and severe cases of depression and it is still a highly controversial treatment method.

I hope you aren't talking about US law, because simulated child porn is legal in the US. SCOTUS ruled on this in 2002.

He still runs an open clinic up to 2018 and hasn't been arrested though.

According to The Paper, a Chinese news report website, the hospital has removed words describing the center such as "网戒中心" (disciplinary center). The source also noted the hospital's introduction to Yang said he is good at "curing Internet Addiction and personality abnormal, preventing adolescence's dangerous behavior, curing problem family", despite the controversies.[26]

So you don't know what words mean? Controversial=/=illegal. And China has vastly different laws than, say, the US. So what's legal there isn't here and vice versa.

'cool' you say..... does that mean you approve of its use, yes or no? Thats all I need.

33 seconds on youtube isn't what was asked for... the law is what was asked for... either you have it, you can find it, or you are not telling the truth... which is it?

Thank you, I saw the link you posted below as well. I figured his wording was a bit extreme, but I was still curious!

The guy wasn't even serious though. Or do you really think those countries have their version of FBI monitor every facebook account that likes accounts with anime pictures?
