So this patch brings updated worgen model, RaF Pay for skins and this even more leveling scaling thing?

So if you don't have a friend interested in leveling with you (why would 99% bother? Pay for boost or you are already max lvl a long time ago) nor play a worgen.

What is this patch bringing exactly for 99% of the playerbase?

War campain I guess? Eh ok. Good thing I can get back to Classic after the 1 hour of war campain quest(s).

Maybe we rather have the Selfie Cam patch again, beats this

Everything scales to you as a player, so in a zone where 60 is the max level, the mobs scale up to level 60 and are equal to the player. Even When a level 40 and a level 60 are whacking the same mob, they do level equivalent damage to it and the mob does level equivalent damage to them.

It's a bit weird, but the way WoW does their scaling it works.

Ok... party sync is a bust, for me. I was hoping it would do like "mentoring" in City of Heroes worked, where your character's level (and available skills) would be brought to the exact level of the party leader, but no. This 'party sync' is bollocks, to me.

If I'm not 'max level' for the content I'm in (60, 80, 90, 100, 110) inviting a someone with party sync would be... pointless. I mean, if I'm 21, and my friend, who's level 120, he'll be level 60. Even with party sync, the level and power disparity would be so huge it might as well not exist.

It's clearly made so you play together, not Boosting. If ppl could read :/

There’s quite a bit of stuff getting announced recently that I think could have been used for filler for a weak Blizzcon. I’m hoping this means they have a lot to show this year.

The zones scale to level too, though. He'd be 21 fighting lvl 21s and you'd be 60 fighting lvl 60ies, but you'd be hitting the same mob. Your gear will still help you steamroll the older content quicker than your 21 friend, but that's a bit of an incentive to invite you in the first place. Run into one of those "bring 5 friends" quests? Bring one friend who is geared enough to be 4 people. You can probably 3 man dungeons together with your gear.

Anyhoo, I'm more interested in party sync for the potential it has with old raiding. You can scale down 25 people to 80 and do heroic ICC, etc. and all you'd need is one person at 80. If you so chose.

Sounds closer to the "Exemplaring" from City of Heroes without losing the abilities from high level.

Retail wow moving more and more away from an RPG...
Really hurting for new players huh?

Retail needs a full reset, level squish and completely WIPE everything.
The game needs to be reset.

Take a look at the Classic Launch, everyone started fresh and the experience is unreal.
In all seriousness, each expansion should be a FRESH START.

I think you mighta forgot about zone scaling.

Literally does not mean what you think it means. There are 30+ people in my guild logged on right now and another 20 or so in my bnet friends list. so no, a lot more than 0 are LITERALLY playing retail right now.

All correct. I completely forgot about zone scaling. I blame lack of coffee while at work.

Party sync is a great feature.
Rinse and repeat. For the rewards. Send even more turtles into the water.

Ah, yes. That' the name. 'Exemplaring'. I thought you'd lose abilities above the level you've been "exemplared" down to, but, thinking better, I think you only lost powers if you entered a Task Force that had a max level allowed lower than your current level.

Why not do Party Sync like GW2 does and makes all content relevant at all times so you can level in any zone you want once you have reached its intended level. You can just run old content over and over if you want that is the only "Sync" or scaling I want. But Goblin/ Worgens look exactly the same.

The 1-60 zones scale so it’s the same as a 118 questing with a 110.

Because with the legion zone scaling it would be like leveling with a 24 who just has more ability’s.

    War campaign
    Anniversary raid
    Cata timewalking raid

Level sync for stuff like grabbing Jerry and helping him level his alt

"Well 90% of people don't have friends who want to level and start playing WoW"

Create a new account and pay for game time in gold if you want it's only like 2m for everything and you get free game time

Or just give 10 friends a recruit link

Or maybe you have a friend leveling a new allied race

I don't think people really get that....but it's the forums so I'm not surprised

15 pages for people to realize flex raiding was winged

You literally have to be legally blind to think this.
