Did you watch the same video? AOC handled it about as well as anyone. She couldn't be sure it was a troll or not and if it was a lunatic; picking a fight with a crazy person is a bad idea. She never endorsed the persons "idea" and mostly tried to get the event back on track because what else could she do after that.

That's not an "evolutionary instinct". It's learned behaviour. Plenty of cultures, and in particular most hunter-gatherers we've interacted with and studied, eat insects and grubs and so forth.

Hell, it's really not much different from eating crab and lobster.
