I wonder why you'd have a vested interest in convincing others that the SR system is bad... I'm still waiting on you to provide any valid reasoning or argument beyond one guy having fucked up SR gains as to what's actually wrong with the system. Mate just give up thinking random queue in comp games will get better. either you roflstomp the enemy team, you get roflstomped or its a close game.

Then you will always get the random rager. The onetrick hero guy, always dps role. Oh the enemy team has Phara? I better play mei/junkrat to counter.

If I were to ignore/avoid all of these people I would spend more time on that than playing.

So I just get on with it. I pick my roles, change hero if needed and do my best. Beyond that theres not much to do unless your team is actually willing to communicate & adapt against enemy team.

It's really made that way for few players at the very top of the rankings. There aren't nearly as many players in that league so a large avoid list could have a huge impact on the game.

For the rest of us, given the odds, it doesn't feel very worthwhile using.

I get someone like this just about every single game.

Logic dictates that if you get one of these every single game, so does the other team. So you should have about a 50% win rate. Unless something else is the problem.

No, they don't. I'm playing only mercy as support but one account is in diamond with 60% win rate and the other is in gold with 21% win rate. They think the system is working just fine yet they can't explain how I'm diamond on one account with 60% win rate. If it was as based on skill as they say, logic dictates that I would get to same rating on my other account. What they're completely neglecting is that you are one player out of 6. As a support, you can't carry the game if your dps are clueless. If they just stand at the choke, you can't do anything. They need to have some semblance of brain function for support to actually be useful.

You can't carry a game as support. It's a you problem.

It's called, "Blizzard is really really bad at match making in their pvp games." They've never fixed it in any of their games, I don't
ever expect them to do it.

It's always been based on whether or not the team works together and is on the same level of performance. It's a
team based game, and if someone fails in the team, the team falls apart. Hence the expression, "you are only as
strong as your weakest link."

This is made especially glaring in Role Lock. Unlike before where you could option to switch with someone and
do better at a different role, you're effectively stuck now. If you suck, you bring your team down with you. If
someone else sucks, you're not winning either.

As a support, you can't carry the game if your dps are clueless.

If your dps sucks, you're not winning period, regardless of what role you play.

I don't agree that that's problematic if one is climbing, given you take up 1 slot in your team then you only have 5 possible slots for throwers/afkers/trolls etc whereas red team has 6, since both teams are chosen from the same pool, red team should encounter these kinds of players slightly more frequently than you do. This in fact should means it's easier for you to climb if you don't belong in your SR.

I just logged in to check it here. It's completely empty. It's always empty, at least on Korean servers. There might be some groups for quick play but never any for comp.

You're probably playing on the US servers.
