Whimsical is the word you are looking for. Just because you don't like something does not mean a good idea.

I would like Artificer, Spellblade, or Soulbinder. None of those are edgy.

I especially like Soulbinder since it's a non-edgy way to add a class that uses death magic. Draenei Auchenai based for Alliance and Troll Bwonsamdi based for Horde, but I think other races should be able to learn it. Easy caster/healer class too since all other new classes have been melee. Can satisfy demand for necromancer-type class without stomping on DK's toes.

Artificer and Spellblade are also good, but they'd have to be elf connected for Horde at least. Alliance Artificers would be draenei based, Horde ones would need to be Nightborne based. Same problem with Spellblade, Alliance ones could be Kirin Tor or draenei based, while Horde ones would need to be blood elf/nightborne based.

100% agree OP.. I've been yapping this for awhile now.. we don't need 3/4 new classes to be edgy which is what a lot are clamoring for.

It's boring at this point. They'll still do it since the community trips over itself for edgy shit for some reason

Why would you even consider DHs and DKs edgy? It's obvious that many people attracted to classes are edgy and want to do tiny bit RP in their heads that they are this lawful evil badass but the classes itself aren't really edgy, at least in the DK department.

Sure, i hate demon hunters and have enough of their "muh sacrifice" BS.. they stripped warlocks for this BS class. But death knights are awesome in every aspect, As villains/NPC/lore/playable anti hero.
Hell, even one of rogue specc went full mode on Pirates of the Caribbean..

More dark classes are needed!! Theres tons of options for "good guy".

To be honest, warrior, hunter and mage are neutral. Big part of mage fantasy is to seek forbidden knowledge and secretly flirt with necromancy, fel and shadow.

I am certainly not going to disagree, but let's face it, Dark Ranger seems the most likely next class. Sylvanas is all over this Blizzcon.

i would say it's comparable to the illidan situation of legion. illidan everywhere, demon hunters coming.

but illidan was known to be a good guy from the start of legion, sylvanas is currently serving mueh'zala and trying to get people killed for some reason.

i mean, i wouldn't put it past them to do something to redeem her. but idk if they'd add dark rangers when their patron is currently on the shitlist.

i don't really give a shit if a class is edgy or not, only if it's cool and has a fun premise. necromancer is cool, i like arcane study, even if it's of dark magic. i want more mage-style classes. necromancer would fill that roll very well.

Shadow should be its own class. It makes little sense to be a spec. It exists only to make more priest races.
