they would never go the diablo route with necromancer.

See, that's what we thought with so many aspects of the game, but WoW has literally been diablofied over the last few years, elements from Diablo has clearly been brought into WoW.

That's why a Diablo Necromancer seems more likely to me than just a normal cloth caster. The game needs something unique, a mail wearing necromancer is exactly that. A Dark ranger would also fit the slot as they would likely use mail armor.

It's just too bad that 95% of the mail armor in the game looks so fucking bad from 1-120, only certain pieces and class sets actually look good. Meanwhile, Leather, cloth and plate all have insanely cool sets

Waow that actually makes a lot of sence. We all agree the boy-kind is Anduin though... so does this mean he's serving Mueh'zala's interests without realising it?

Maybe not Anduin, but perhaps Wrathion, he is the "king" of the black dragons right now we could say, being the son of Neltharion/Deathwing

Wow: Shadowlands is the expansion
No new class (sorry)
Bolvar returns thinking he can enslave remaining old god forces by using saronite.
Sylvanas has similar goals.
Plot A is shadowlands seeping into azeroth after Sylvanas' confrontation with Bolvar.
Northren revamp for leveling with removal of some zones and addition of 2 Nerubian zones (launch raid also), other continents in patches
2 shadowlands zones for max level planned at launch, one is new dragonflight that contains powers of the main five (Silver Oasis), other is a massive arabic desert surrounding the oasis (Eternal Wastes - biggest zone yet "endless", venturing far into the desert grants fatigue and continuing causes souls to attack and kill you) with suramar type storyline of helping the inhabitants of shadowlands free their city from Hely's forces (Death's advance)
Plot B is dragon, with the new star dragonflight from the shop mount helping the flights regain aspect powers
no dragon isles at launch, part of EK revamp later on.
Level squish delayed after world revamp.

This isn't the first leak that mentions a Nerubian launch raid.

My take: Leak of THE Bolvar came out too soon, and now people are scurrying to fill in the blanks, with a lot of the new "leaks" just obvious guesses. I´d wager not a single one of those leaks that came out after the bolvar are real, so maybe that reddit ama leak from june is on the money. I still cant believe someone would put stinkers on an expansion with the theme we´re currently leaning to, but it´s blizzard so u never know. If they followed the pattern, it would be dark rangers.

Where will we go from there?

Necro Mancer?
Dragon Born?
Dino Crisis?

Or maybe the plan is to only have 3 hero classes all along and dark ranger will end the cycle.

It's bound to happen, levels have become meaningless and the talent system isn't remotely exciting. I really hope they'll rework it!

I don't know how you rework it without going back to Trees.

And no way is Blizz going back to trees unless they have firm proof that Classic is outperforming Retail, which they wouldn't have in time for 9.0's features being set.

I honestly think we keep the current garbage talents until 10.0.

That, or they could see a progressive world revamp patch by patch as one of the main feature of 9.0!

I've been thinking about this. Releasing a full world revamp at once might strain the dev team to thin so the new content suffers because of it. But how would a partial Revamp even work. You go from a zone where you fight the Twighlight hammer and or is destroyed by Deathwing into a zone that is in the 2019 timeline.

Maybe they could update 1 continent at a time.

Squish levels to 60. Keep the current talent (7 tiers of 3 talents) and have the talents start unlocking every 2 levels starting at 15, every 2 levels you unlock a new talent in a row, every 3 talents you move to the next row. Meaning you unlock talents every 2 levels from 15 to 55-57
