In honor of a new one today, how do you rank the expansion cinematics?

Are we getting a new one today? I know we have the last few expansions, but I remember Cataclysm the cinematic didn't premiere until the Super Bowl that following year.

Anyway, here's how I'd rank cinematics.

1. Wrath of the Lich King
2. The Burning Crusade
3. Legion
4. Warlords of Draenor
5. Battle for Azeroth
6. Vanilla
7. Mists of Pandaria
8. Cataclysm

1) Wrath: Its brilliantly done.
2) Cata: Very good at showing the premise of the expasion. Also the hammering shit into deathwing was fun.
3) BFA: Shame the expansion didnt deliver on the cinematic
4) Pandaland: Nice to have some comedy and was a good summary of the Expansion's themes
5) Legion: Pretty cool but the whole look Slyvannas helps Varian now seems like a hollow moment considering BFA
6) WoD: Its alright and has good memes
7) Classic: Not a fan of the collection of things. But i guess its gets across the feeling.
8) TBC: Jump cut again this time however there was an actual central story they could have portrayed.

BFA actually had me hyped as fuck, shame about it.

No, not really , all were decent as is.
Also , the first wow is just wow . not vanilluh , dammit. By that definition bc would be chocolate , wrath mint , cata whiskey , mists red beans , wod disappointment , legion pistachio and bfa shit.

1. Wrath was the best character piece, full of emotion and weight. It's probably one of (if not)the most memorable/iconic cinematics. So many glory shots from that cinematic. It's the most recognizable in the gaming community, even to non-wow fans.
2. BFA had the best action
3. Legion had second best action
4. WoD had best cinematic story moments.
5. Cata wasn't a memorable character piece, but it had some of the best environment for sure. So much of Azeroth rendered and then destroyed by Deathwing in cinematic glory, against an amazing soundtrack. Definitely the flashiest cinematic produced yet.
6. MoP had splendid environment, but the action was a bit cartoonish and didn't serve as a good story moment for anything either.
7. BC isn't super memorable to me, but it does have the iconic line, "You are not prepared!".
8. Vanilla was where it all started so it's definitely an iconic one. Music was amazing, and it looked top-notch back then but seems so outdated now.

I was going to vote TBC the lowest but “You are not prepared” is one of the most iconic lines in WoW. Where as I can’t even remember Legion cinematic and I’ve watched it multiple times

Having just rewatched all eight back to back. Vanilla and BC while the weakest IMO almost have to be set aside in a different category because the game was so different back then. It didn't have the more focused narrative that it does now.

Agree with most of the tier lists already here, but man, it's really hard to watch the BfA cinematic now that we know that almost everything about it was a lie

BFA - I still get goosebumps for this one. Anduin's rez scene is just amazing also, Sylvies little voice over at the beginning when you also hear the rockets in the background.

WotLK - Really is just epic, and I don't even really like Anakin err the LK as a character.

Legion - Really well done, you really got the impression that shit was about to go down - with the compass spinning and the "they're coming! they're coming back!!1"

Vanilla - The cinematic that started it all....no other way of putting it lol. It's even aged rather well.

WoD - Had a great *surprised pikachu * moment, when he dumps the goblet instead of drinking from it. Really thought that it was going to be the best expansion ever, with the greatest ever story....instead of the dumpster fire that it became.

Mists - I had stopped playing before this came out and missed everything that led up to it, so it was kind of surprise wtf is happening moment when I decided to log back in. I've come to really appreciate what Mists was since then though and regret not playing from the beginning, (joined somewhere at the end) and as such come to like the cinematic as well. It was probably one of the best at summing up the expansion.

Cata - This was exciting for me at the time, because back then I used to actually keep up with WoW lore so I knew who Deathwing was (now there doesn't seem to be a point) but I can see where people were coming from back then when they said "Who?".

BC - My first expansion and will always be my "glory days" but honestly probably the poorest of the cinematics.

Shadowlands

Just overall BFA wins, it had so many amazing cinematics.

So yea, updated list. The shadowlands one is at the bottom for me.
