Which, in the end, give a cosmetic transmog set. They aren't specifically for money, level progression, character strength, or any other significant progress for your character at all. That's all a far cry from cosmetics, which have already been charged for money in the past with pets, mounts, RAF rewards (including a set, enchant, etc), cosmetic helms, character appearance change, as well as other cosmetic services (faction change, race change).

I mean, if you're predicting that they'll charge money in the shop for meaningful progression quests, paying for an entire expansion is exactly what you're afraid of anyway. You're paying for a chunk of content full of quests, a new level cap, raids, dungeons, gear, and sometimes races and classes. This is just another thing on top of all that for, once again, a transmog set at the end of a questline.
3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.

Did they mention anything about a physical Collector’s Edition though?

Screw the people going "oh it's just a short quest to make transmog more fun to get, not just give it straight away".
Bitch, that's why I play games, to get fun. Nevermind that this is also the first time transmog is locked behind collector's edition.

It's a slippery slope, but it's actually happening. Next we'll probably see a separate lobby for people with deluxe pass.
Slippery slope is literally a fallacy so when you say this is a slippery slope, you pretty much admit worrying about this is nonsense.

It depends on the quests doesn't it.

    A. Go somewhere and talk to someone.
    B. Go collect 50 something-or-others
    C. Return, talk to someone, and receive mount.

That's one possible scenario. Do you consider that meaningful quest content?

Like you, I don't know if that's what it is but until we do know it seems as if your complaint is premature.

One, not a DLC. Two, you wouldn't get that transmog set with the basic. Three, did you bitch about unique pets/mounts that came collectors and digital deluxe editions?

I'm still waiting. I've heard that slippery slope argument in 2008 and were were supposed to be paying for top shelf gear to avoid grinding raids and PvP. That and there are only 2 handfuls of mounts and pets added in 11 years.
