Yeah, too little info unfortunately.
This is just like Warlords of Draenor, minus the garrison. Bare min expansion, I'm really thinking about quiting after getting my Deathwing mount.
it was actually never about rotations really.. it was always more about situational abilities.. exactly about stuff like curses etc.
eye of the beast is kinda like that, but i agree that eye of the best isnt really something many people wanted or something that's really all that exciting
but there's a lot of other stuff that was needed to be brought back, like curses, totems, amz, kill shot, etc.
also it's not all about rotations in the game, things like having fireball as a frost mage matter because its a different magic school, maybe fireball isnt the most useful and exciting, but stuff like AE and Arcane missiles in other specs is very important
same with having heals as shadow priest, same with having mind blast in disc etc.
again i hope they will unprune more and this is not all that they'll bring back

It's definitely missing something. They could've thrown the bone of new race/class combos,at least. Maybe more dungeons and battlegrounds, since there's no new classes or races.
Speaking as a shadow priest, I don't really care whether I'm able to use Flash Heal or not. I've been stuck with this horrible voidform shit for two--soon to be three--whole expansions now and I just want to see something new, or at least have the option of playing the class in a different way.
As bad as WoD was, at least the designers tried to give us options for how we wanted to play our class/spec. Gladiator Stance and Mind Spike to name a few. Those were talents that gave the players meaningful options that changed how the class was played.
The classes barely changed at all during the transition from Legion to BFA, and it seems like there won't be any core changes made this expansion either. It just feels like the WoW class design team have been on a break since Legion or (more likely) that they've been moved to other games/projects.
Edit:
I realize that my first sentence may have been poorly worded. I'm happy about the unpruning for those who actually do care about that stuff (because more options is good), but I'm angry that classes who had fun gameplay options removed during the Legion overhaul have essentially been in stasis ever since.

Not totally on board yet, but getting there. It sounds cool, but so did BFA when they had the panel on that, and we know how that turned out.
Consider me intrigued.
It wasnt exactly deep, but what was there was all positive for me.
The only thing I'm not too hot on is the class vs spec identity. I like spec identity, I want my assassination rogue to feel like they have specialised in assassination and are masters of it, I dont want to just feel like a generic rogue who got 1 extra ability and pretends like that makes them special.
I mean i wish it went deeper. Do we still have talent rows with 3 to choose from, and are there still 7 rows? Is arcane still going to be awful? who knowwwwwwwwwws
What's funny is that people claim they couldn't add a new class in Shadowlands because it's too much work to be done on the current ones. And then Blizzard says they're going to do less updates to classes than Legion...which also featured a new class.
Honestly, it seems like they're just generalizing some specific abilities for each Class as fan service.
Giving back old abilities isn't an expansion feature. Its a content patch.
Its underwhelming because they didn't introduce anything truly new and core for classes.

The expansion can't be more than 6-9 months away, and is this really all they have to share with us? There was no real "hook" no sweeping changes to problems that have been plaguing people since the start of bfa, just de pruning flavor abilities and a small explanation of the new "order halls" which most people will have min/max details about written down and mapped out before beta is over. honestly the no new class or race thing has me worried this is going to be another WoD, pretty to look at the start but a few weeks in and the honeymoon will crash and burn.
