Even if there's not much content on max level (which I doubt), being a expansion further opens up new old content that can be soloed for transmoggable items and achievements. Especially if legendaries become transmoggable, I see myself farming the a few more.

Honestly it sounds like I will be very busy next expansion.

I cut of raiding, so solo content/PvP and achievement-hunting is my new thing.. And there is loads of that coming my way!

I don't think this will end well.
I'd honestly rather that than feel like I'm being punished for not doing absolutely everything there is to do, whether I want to do that type of content or not.
A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.

So that's probably where people are getting "gated" from.
The wording was a lot different

I think it was in the preach interview

You crying that a game not even released wont be able to fill every hole of your life isn't a discussion tho. A pathetic tantrum at most.

Making a stupid statement isn't asking for debate.

Personally, I'd like to do my weekly raid and M+ on my main, maybe a small amount of upkeep work (~1 hour), and then play alts the rest of the week.

    So....

    ... same as every expansion?

Except for Dungeons, Raids, Battlegrounds, Arenas, Daily\Reps\World Quests?

Yep, There have been nothing to do for the past 15 years.

We're all just dumb idiots for playing the game.

Thanks for sharing though. I guess.

I disagree but I get where op is coming from. I think the general player base wanted something big from this expansion. We wanted a big new feature, a new iconic class or race, And we didn’t really get those things. we got another expansion of “fixes”. more of the same but hopefully better.

The more I look into interviews about creating our own legendaries and about the tower of the damned I get hype for the expansion but I don’t think those things sound like big hype building features the way they were laid out.

I do the content because I like to do the content, not because of some meaningless rewards, what rewards do you even want? to fill some bar that gets reset every few months? Is that what "rewards" mean to you? I wanna do m+ because I actually like to do it, I wanna raid because I like to do it, I wanna get gear because I like to see progress, now I don't want to HAVE to do 500 tasks each weak just so that I am able to raid or do dungeons. Having content without rewards would be a great place to start, so maybe finally I can actually enjoy the parts that I like about the game without having to spend 3 hours per day doing chores. I do chores at my work, not at a game that I play for fun. Fortunately there are other games, theres a reason people are flocking to ff14, wow is more like a job that we actually have to pay to do.

As much as I wanted a new class (necromancer), its all probably because we were conditioned to have a new class every other expansion so far. I'm excited for Shadowlands, just not as much as I could be.

Yep, game is still about six months to a year out and people are already bitching about its endgame content without even knowing what it is . . .

I think some people are being a little over-the-top...

...But this also isn't our first rodeo with Blizzard. I can understand people being skeptical.

    Only time will tell.

Yeah but I mean, at least wait for the game to come out first.

But again, people literally say that about every criticism before each expansion is released...Although they were unsuccessful, I think it was great that people were trying to sound the alarms on how crappy AP was going to be in BFA.

People are criticizing because they care and want it to be good. And I don't blame people for not wanting to leave Blizzard to their own devices without player feedback.

I'll say it again, dungeons to gear up, mythical and mythic +, raids, leveling/improving your Covenant, finding soulbinds, reps grinds, crafting, mount/pet/mog collecting, pet battles, PvP, WQs, whatever we have to do in the city in the center that connects to the covenants (ala Suramar), legendary mat farming in that endless dungeon, allied races, whatever is in store for us in the maw, plus whatever else there may be.

Seems like a pretty long list of you actually look at what we already know.

I mean, do you consider islands and warfronts content? The way i see it the covanents will work kind of like essences, you do specific content to earn the soulbinds like essences, and its a permanent progression you earn, and eventually you will cap out on it unlike AP, and I dont know how i feel about a system with no permanent progression, just capped out my neck to 70 and already i feel like theres no reason to log in, atleast the azerite i logged i n everyday to do my emissary i didnt feel forced to grind island all day or anything it was just nice to have something to work towards when i logged in, i hope blizzard is aware of this and does give you something to work for, even if it is minor and less impactful than azerite. Also focusing on one major core content means it will be alot more polished than azerite was (hopefully)

Maybe they should learn how to post constructively. Far more often the complaints are immature rants that boil down to I hate this feature or you guys are lazy without offering reason as to why.

I know people do offer valid criticism. However that evoles into shit commentary when Blizzard says we aren't changing said thing. As if, just because criticism was valid or offered in a proper tone means they have to act on it.

I see the AP as something to work on at max level so you always have something to improve your character with. My wife liked it. Said she felt she was doing useful stuff whenever she played unlike expansions prior to Legion. I didn't play, but it seems good. Now I was never one who capped valor, or got in all my heroics weekly. I just didn't care, but I can see how people would think it was bad.

But guess what? It was a major part of the endgame systems, they weren't going to change it in BfA. But guess what? They did for SL. Seems like they do listen and make appropriate changes when possible. SL seems like it fixes a lot of things many have been complaining about for a while now.

I'll know in the first month of Shadowlands if there will be any replayability; if PVP matches still take 50 minute long and it takes all my CDs, all the strategy i can muster, 200 APM, consumables, the grace of god and PVP lessons from Swifty just to kill someone 1v1 or even 2v2, then this expansion will be a pass.

I'll put in zero effort, try out a couple raids, Torghast and then end the sub. Easy.

  19. #199
Meanwhile people praise Classic where there's "nothing to do at max level" (except raids, dungeons, battlegrounds and grinding gold, that y'know, exist in every xpac).

Didn't they say we're gonna get towers back for solo players as an endgame?
