I know.
But I'm not going for the excuse that the age of the game matters in any way whatsoever in that regard.
Might as well excuse anything and everything WoW does, or does not, then.
"But the FFXIV UI is shit because it's also made for consoles" - duh, no one's saying that to downplay the advantage the WoW interface has over FFXIV there either, even though it's also true, because WoW made for consoles in mind wouldn't look like it does currently.
The fact remains, the FFXIV interface sucks.
The fact remains, WoW has horrible armor design where it's difficult to actually see what kind of material the item is made out off and you can't even dye a shite.
You can search for the item whenever you see it somewhere (chat, drop, whatever) by rightclicking it and press "search for item"Two questions:
1) Can you search for item this way if you don't have it in your inventory or you have to use obscure shit like /isearch?
2) This doesn't tell if you have the same model with different name, right?
Afaik there aren't many items (with the exception of the high end crafts and the ornate versions of the same craft) with the same model in FFXIV, if they are the same, they use a different color AND are dyeable - could be wrong though.
