Literally every other looter shooter took 1-2 years after their shit show launches to get on the right track so I don't see why this one would be any different.

You mean just Destiny? I don't know of any others that took that long to clear themselves up or didn't just die.

No Mans Sky would be another example. Launch went about as poorly as possible. They buckled down and slowly pumped out content and changes.

Yeah but nobody remembers it exists so at some point you need to cut your loses. I wanted anthem to hold me over till pso2 but its dead because even after reading that article, they have no idea what theyre even doing to try and save it yet

As I said on another forum. This is an utterly stupid way to go about it, by doing it in secret your leaving your actual supporters to drown in the dark and burn what faith people have for absolutely nothing.

Its not rocket science. You can even just strait up copy what FF14 did as the prime example of how to recover from a flawed game. Publicly apologise, announce that your going to work to fix things and keep the public informed as you do so. Give them a reason to keep faith that you will fix the broken shell of a game you sold them.

Not a wall of deafening silence.

I'm not a fan of the silence either but I wouldn't be in a rush to draw attention to this until they've made some significant progress. For all we know this is still in its infancy and could get scrapped at any point. Its still under EA, maybe they need to create proof of concept again.

Draw that attention when its closer to happening so the hype train can reach the station instead of petering out while people are stuck waiting around for another year. There's a reason this stuff gets leaked all the time.

It will be rough two years. Either there is no content and updates for ages, or they drip feed incomplete changes.

But NMS is still synonymous to lies and failed launches. Great they improved, but how many people still play it? And GL for the studio when releasing their next game, no one will believe in any promo material.
