    Growing up in Quebec was super confusing because I remember seeing both Captain Harlock and Albator running concurrently. I know there was a bunch of other French animation, but honestly the only other ones that stuck with me are Goldorak (which was running at the same time as Tranzor Z) and Astro Le Petit Robot.

    As a kid I was never quite sure which was the original (of course, none of them were).

    It is, but Harlock was easily at its most popular in French speaking regions.
