I know it's annoying and unfair OP, but you're far less likely to be kicked like that compared to how many people act like idiots so they can get kicked on purpose to avoid the deserter buff.

I understood what you said. And I still think it is idiotic and toxic. You're not even smart enough to wait to see if they can handle it or not. But this is why I don't PUG islands. Too high of a chance to get grouped with someone idiotic and toxic.

You're literally refusing to read what I say. If a tank DIES after overpulling, i kick them. Because whenever that happens, they always do it again because they have the mentality of something stupid like "Oh I just didn't click this ability fast enough" then die AGAIN. So when a tank gets destroyed by a group they pulled, I kick them so I don't have to deal with that idiot doing it again.

If you're a tank then it's your job to pull responsibly and know your own capabilities. Can't do that? Then you deserve a kick.
I agree 100% but #PugLife counterpoint: If the tank pulls responsibly chances are you'll have some hotshot DPS pull more mobs because you're "going too slow" and apparently they are like sharks; if they don't constantly move they'll die.

If a healer expect to fake-not-afk whole island because "I'm a healer, can't kill shit". Yeah, they get the boot reaaaaaaally fast with me.

Happily with how faceroll mythic island are nowadays no point in running PUG hell island.

I don't know what healers people are coming across but like....I never have come across these people. Everyone I've random queued with have pulled their weight. The only issues I've had was afk dps or overconfident tanks that pulls huge groups and get ripped apart.

Stop people who want to leave being a dick to get kicked and avoid the debuff.

    Basicly that.

Healers in an IE are fine, its not a problem, but a tank brings so, so much more to the group than a healer - namely substantial AOE dps, often higher than the dps themselves. They also alow dps free reign to aoe dps without fear of aggro and collect Az.

The problem with your argument is it relies on an extreme example that you ONLY apply to the tank - pulling "the entire island". Why do you not apply that same extreme to the healer? What if the tank plays well, and the healer is afk? what if the tank pulls large, manageable groups, in a sensible order and at a good pace, while the healer runs around healing themselves and doing nothing?
Depending slightly on the tank, but tanks likely bring more DPS than the DPS and more healing than the healer. Unless you're an AoE DPS with the proper setup.

I'm sure all the thousands of people who farmed neck 70 by pulling the whole island at once and AoEing it down just imagined it.

Thats what im saying yes, and although there are exceptions, they are pretty uncommon exceptions - like the healer item that i was talking about earlier that im not even sure is still in the game in its original form. IIRC it was called light-prism or something.

If you get kicked, I don't think there should be a deserter buff. This is a case of punishing the few for the actions of many, however. If Blizzard can't program it with enough detail to know who's abusing it and who's not, unfortunately everyone gets the shaft. Lame, I know.

Every healer has a dps off-spec, be nice and switch before you queue.
There is absolutely a reason to que as a healer. I've main healed a few expansions, and I really enjoy it. I don't want to play DPS, I want to heal. Just because I heal as my preferred method of playing doesn't mean I disrespect other players by queuing for content that allows me to. By healing they can pull bigger packs or pull more frequently. You're just flat-out wrong here, pal.

It is disrespectful to kick a healer because you're in a hurry. Be nice and accept that not all players enjoy playing DPS, or may simply not be in the mood for it. I don't have to "respect" other players when it comes to my spec. I can be respectful in many ways, and I usually am, but catering to the selfish wants of others in a video game is not a matter of respect.

Well you let the group die from 1 more pack. Why ? you can pull like 30 mobs and still be fine in tw. You deserve to be kicked and and hopefully think about what you did wrong.

i dont like deserter buff, and others bans from hots,overwatch...you cant do what you want.and i like freedom,i want can leave when i want, without ban.some times,i dont want wait to finish the bg some times is big time...etc....every day less freedom....

So because the expedition is 30 second to a minute longer, suddenly you're a jerk? Why are you so damned impatient?

Majority rules. IF you can'b e bothered to go into DPS spec like the majority wants, you deserve to be kicked. There is absolutely no reason to have a healer in IE's.

It's absolutely not the majority because I've never been in a group that wanted to force the healer to change spec or get kicked. The only time I ever saw it was from toxic people on these forums.

IF you get kicked, yes it is because it takes the majority to get a kick int he first place. Anyone who specs as a healer for IE's is as toxic as anyone.

In islands it takes one asshole initiating the kick. If the person being kicked isn't from the same guild, most people will blindly just click yes. So....no. It has nothing to do with majority. Once again, if you think healers in IEs is toxic then you're literally one of the worst kinds of players.

Ok, you clearly made your point. You only care about your preferred spec and force everyone else around you to adapt to that.

That way people can't abuse it. For instance: tank queues for random dungeon, gets something he doesn't like/need, then proceeds to afk until team kicks him out so that he doesn't get deserter and can queue up for another one.
A group of players kicking individuals out like this causes more trouble to said individual than any AFKing player can by being able to reque after being kicked.

The guy who gets kicked out will reque and everyone will move on, whereas this way a player has to wait for the debuff to expire, being wrongfully blocked from accessing the finder.

In reference to OP; they should definitely remove the deserted debuff for players who get kicked out of a finder party. It defies the very meaning of the word deserter, not to mention how it makes no sense that players are unable to que for another group just because the previous one got them removed.
