It might not be nice but I'm not sure I'd call it a war crime. Oh well, different values and all that.

The comment you posted seems to indicate otherwise.

So apparently Kushner couldn't handle Mideast peace alone, he needed to bring in the "big guns".

Why am I not surprised that one likely fake-rich-guy/grifter is reaching out to another likely fake-rich-guy/grifter for help.

What, should I care more for what happened to the corpse than what happened to the person before it became a corpse? Seems an odd sort of morality to me.

Trump is talking about a "major middle income tax cut" again.

"Didn't we just do that last year?"

    Yes.

"Wasn't that for the middle class?"

That's what they said, but it just ended up helping corporations and the wealthy.

"So...this is an ACTUAL middle income tax cut, then?"

Who knows, but if history is a guide then probably not.

"But isn't the economy great? Do we need another tax cut?"

Your guess is as good as mine. Or actual economists, who didn't seem to love the idea of the last one and likely won't love the idea of this one if it ever shapes up.

"But Democrats support the middle class, surely they'd support a middle class tax cut!"

Again, probably. But again, if history is a guide then this will be another handout to the rich and corporations.

Wait they already did the most irresponsible tax cuts in us history. Are they trying to absolutely explode the debt?

Edit I absolutely refuse to believe Republicans will ever get behind a middle class tax cut that is the mindset my comment comes from.

Rick Perry and his smart guy glasses have opinions. Like that Trump is the "Chosen One" who ascended to the presidency because God wanted him to.

I don't want to get into religious discussion as it's off-topic, but I think we can agree that the opinion is...well...questionable, especially for a guy who is in charge of maintaining our nuclear arsenal.

Trying to? They're already succeeding on that front, and with flying colors.

Oh, I entirely agree, actually. I'm sure foreign leaders absolutely cannot believe the difference in strength between the United States now and the United States two years ago. It's just in the opposite direction that Trump thinks it is.

The Cheetos have fallen out of the bag. Esper says Trump directed him to fire Spencer, further pushing the narrative that Spencer was fired for not participating in their conspiracy.

Excuses from Graham coming next news cycle.

I'm confused... was there meant to be an "/s" at the end or not? Because opinion based is exactly what they are the great majority of the time.

Funny how quickly Spencer went from corrupt Trump boot licker to a poor victim of Trump for some people in this thread. Thats why its better to wait for more informations. Maybe the story will change again.

Also posing with corpse of TERRORIST is absolutely not serious "war crime". Its not like he dishonored enemy soldier. He did that to absolute scumbag that would not hesitate to murder civilians if he got chance.

No it isn't. Trying to make the law a matter of opinion is incredibly destructive. What is legal and what is not is very clear, and any executive involvement in judicial proceedings outside of specific powers such as pardons is blatantly illegal. No amount of deflecting from you will change that.

Still a corrupt bootlicker. Still deserved to be fired. Trump is still being criminal as fuck in this whole episode too, and Esper needs to be indicted for this. Firing him for under the table negotiations with the White House is fine. Firing him for opposing the President's efforts to obstruct justice is not. He appears to have been fired for both, so keep him fired, but also fire Esper, and add some additional charges to the impeachment.

As @Edge- pointed out, we've seen this before. Trump announced a 10% middle class tax cut at a campaign rally in October of 2018. Of course, nothing happened since.

It was Fake News created by Trump himself out of thin air just before the midterms.

Trump ran on 2016 on promises. He can't run in 2020 on his record, so, he needs more promises. That's what you're seeing. You are not seeing action.

No, they're not trying to explode the debt...um, any more than they already have, that is. There is no middle-class tax cut coming. There's a promise of a middle-class tax cut, and there is no weight behind it.

I want everyone, including people who pretend not to be part of the rabid fanbase, to ask: if Trump really wanted a middle-class tax cut, why hasn't he done that already? He's had years, and in that time, he gave a tax cut for the rich. He has not yet proposed a middle-class tax cut by any means other than saying so at a campaign rally. There is no written proposal, no bill, no draft in public. You know where Trump's loyalties lie by his actions. He has not acted on this.

He plans to run on the "successes" (economy, jobs, etc) that were began under Obama and pretend he did them, regardless of whether they hold any statistical merit.

Surprising nobody, the NY Fed released a study showing that US consumers and companies are really the ones paying the Chinese tariffs.

    "But...isn't that how tariffs work?"

Yes, yes it is. But Trump doesn't know this.

War crimes do not stop being war crimes just because the victim is a scumbag or whatever. They kind of work like regular crimes that way. That's in part because the definition of 'absolute scumbag' is kind of subjective. Especially in times of war, when each side tries to dehumanize the other.
And just to pre-empt stuff: idk if the posing is specifically a war crime, not really looking that up now. It does violate federal law in the US though, which is what the guy was found guilty of. I was talking more about the principle that you brought up, of crimes being no crimes/less of a crime depending on the victim.
Also, being the victim doesn't make the one killed some kind of good person or 'innocent'. I speak of rule of law, where criminals are tried and judged, not vigilante punished.

Hey that rain of a tax cut will be trickling down any day now so there is no need for a middle tax cut right???

    https://www.americanprogress.org/iss...not-trickling/

I am sure his other promises like locking up Hilary Clinton will be coming any day now right?? Also about that Wall being built with fine Mexican money and labor right??

Or about that national debt will be gone by the time he finishes both terms right? we should be about 8 trillion down by now right? If i was a vindictive asshole i would laugh at the families who are losing the largest generational asset they will ever know ( Family farm ) because he refused to be apart of the TPP but since i tend to feel sorry for the stupid i refuse to do it but damn it someone should let them know they got punched in the face by a con man.
