I don't know exactly what you are referring to; I'd assume the neighborhood watch would have rules against shooting teenagers who are apart of the neighborhood.

Not being obtuse though, if Zimmerman was constantly doing something that the association didn't want, he should have been removed from the watch position. Regardless, even if he wasn't a neighborhood watch guy, he still has the right to ask Martin what he is doing, and Martin has the right to tell him to get fucked.

Zimmerman is more than likely guilty of something, whether it be a lesser manslaughter charge or some kind of negligence, the issue arises that there weren't many witnesses and they weren't exactly extremely clear. As I said, Martin never had the chance to defend himself. If the outcome were reversed, likely Martin would have gotten off for beating Zimmerman to death. Between zimmerman hanging up with nonemergency police and the 911 call, no one knows what happened except Martin and Zimmerman.

Murder 2 is hard to prove here because it requires a "depraved" mind while the murder was happening but Zimmerman was rightfully being attacked due to the perceived threat he posed to an underage teen he followed in a car, and then chased on foot. The issue with the murder charge is that he probably did fear for his life, but it was all due to his own negligence.

Manslaughter, negligent homicide, would have been better charges that actually may have stuck, but the public wanted murder charges, which was a huge mistake.

What seems most likely, given the miniscule degree of Zimmerman's injury that everyone flipped out about, Martin ran away, Zimmerman chased him around, found him, grabbed him and started yelling. Martin shoved him or hit him, Zimmerman fell down and shot. There is pretty much no chance whatsoever he was having his head beat on the ground.
