How are Demon Hunters these days? Fun?

Hello there! I am about to return to WoW again. I want to roll a new class(that i have not played much), but that`s not exactly what i am going to get an answer for here. My question is, how are Demon Hunters these days? What`s your feelings around them? Are the rotation fun, talents, new armor and weapon looks cool? I want to know what people think of the class both negative and positive.

If you dont want to answer or think my question is lame, cool.. go somewhere else to complain please, i am just trying to learn about the whole picture of the class.

also play the class and see for yourself, other peoples opinions aren't reliable, some people will say no, some people will say yes, some will say "if you're an edgy weeb who are into loli's, yes DH's are for you"

I assume we're talking havoc here.

Pros:
- they look cool
- they are favoured for invites to dungeons as dps together with rogues, only slightly less than rogue but more than other specs
- they're easy to play
- they're a good soloing class
- at least 1 is mandatory for raids for the buff they provide
- they do well in pvp

Cons:
- it's a braindead class to play (this may not even be a con to some)
- due to the above it's an overcrowded class if it happens to matter for the sake of competition for spots
- it can be only 1 race per faction

You misunderstood my question. How do YOU feel about the class. I have played the class, in Legion, did not click for me then. But i dont know if they have changed alot or if they tuned things? Read my post one more time please

Thank you for the info, but how do you feel about the class. I am not trying to get you to sell the class to me.

They're a decent rounded class and very independent.

It's not really changed from Legion too much - although Vengeance feels much clunkier.

DPS-wise it's an uncomplicated rotation with a fairly low ceiling on good DPS, but a fairly high ceiling on utility. Knowing when to hit consume magic, darkness, blur, etc really marks the good DH's from the mediocre ones, NOT their DPS since it'll be pretty similar.

Tanking, it's clunkier now. Shear and Spirit Bomb both got changed in such a way that it just doesn't quite flow the way it did in Legion, which in my opinion also effects the DH survivability. Don't get me wrong, it's actually a fun tank class to play since you're very mobile and have good utility, it's just not as smooth as it used to be which becomes a detriment to using your self-healing to keep yourself up.

Anyway, it's a fun class. Kinda training wheels, but plays responsively.

All that said I'd make it an alt and have a more involved class as your main.

And my answer is this btw: they are funnier to play than ranged Hunters, lock, dks and paladins. They feel like they did in Legion. Since all classes in wow are boring on retail, i would say demon Hunter is Number 7 when it comes to fun. Below Warrior, rogue, mage, druid, monk and (survival Hunter imo).
