Anyone know if EPIC will keep the weekly free game going in 2020??
Went ahead and picked up both Resident Evil 2 and A Plague Tale: Innocence from the Steam winter sale. RE2 I already know is awesome, but I have heard such good things about A Plague Tale that I figured what the hell for $22. Jim Sterling said both it and RE2 were two of his favorite games of the year and his opinions tend to mirror mine pretty well. The others he put at the top of his list were all games I also really enjoyed after all, The Outer Worlds, Disco Elysium, and Bloodstained.
Yeah, I had a feeling some of them would be ones they had already given out in previous freebies. A couple I had also already gotten free from Twitch Prime. Still, some very good games like FTL, Hyper Light Drifter, and Shadow Tactics for anyone who didn't already own them. I now own 44 games one the Epic Store (not counting free to play games like Fortnite and Dauntless) and I actually paid for a grand total of one of them, Control. Still wish they would put some work into actually improving the storefront and layout of the launcher.
A lot are the same as last year - i guess they talked the same devs into providing more keys, or just have leftovers.

At long last a sale where I actually found something. Picked up RE 2 Remake, Slay the Spire, Fallout 4 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (I know the last two arent exactly master pieces but for that price its ok if they entertain me a couple of hours)
So Epic's 12 days of free games thing ended, but it looks like they are not stopping with the free games at the end of 2019 like many thought they might. From now until Jan. 9th you can pick up both Darksider's I and II as well as Steep. I cannot speak to Steep as it isn't really my kind of game, but both of the Darksider's games are totally worth it if you are someone who somehow has yet to give them a shot. Darksiders II in particular is a fantastic game.
New humble choice is up.

Funnily enough, my coworkers were just talking about what a great bundle next month's was (one was pausing though cos he already owned half the games). Bad North is supposed to be great, if you like that genre, and I've heard good things about Shadow of War, Two Point Hospital, Whispers of Machine, and Graveyard Keeper.
Most of the games seem to be genres I don't personally like so I think the majority of this bundle will go to the spouse or to my give-away sheet but it doesn't seem awful objectively. Whispers of Machine is probably the only game I personally am interested in, as it's supposed to be a really good Point N Click, which I like.
