There's no paradox to love. You either love or you don't, there's no in between.

There are no "true" loves; only different intensities and ways to love.

Whether you personally find a type of love acceptable or not doesn't change the fact it's still love.

If doing something brings you satisfaction - materially, spiritually, ethically - it wasn’t truly selfless anyway. It’s an inherently contradictory concept. Even something crippling hurtful and harrowing to you that you do for no immediate gain, you are still doing to fulfill some eudaimonistic or deontological sense of purpose, and therefore it still is serving your interest.

    Ahah, close enough.
The only difference here is that Rick Roll should move on with his life and meet other people if "she" is doing the same.
And yes, say, "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down"

Its unhealthy to constantly think about the same person and being "needy" if the feeling is NOT mutual...yet.

    Some observations:

    Paradoxes don't have solutions.

I didn't actually see your paradox.

Yes you can love without being loved.

Someone being free to do what they want, isn't necessarily the best thing for them.

There are different types of love.

Most people also love themselves (despite protesting otherwise).

A large aspect of loving someone, is having the ability to suppress your love for yourself and prioritise your love for someone else. Thus creating a selfless act.

    You shouldn't think so much.

You should avoid forums when you're battered

Thank you for pointing out the several things you pointed out.

I just want to say that, IF i didnt think about this...i would be unhappy and in a dark place right now.
    Thinking is good.

And im not battered (whatever that means ), i feel extremely well now and happy

    The paradox is:
    -Love is 100% altruistic
    Yet
-There cant be love without receiving love back

Unless you want to tell me "love is NOT 100% altruistic and you always have second intentions"
You are free to tell me that

    What type of love?

    There can be unreciprocated love.

Humans feelings are dictated by chemical reactions, so discussing emotions in absolute terms is an exercise in futility.
