Anyway, I'd like to see a streaming service redo Highlander - not the series the original movie.

I'd like to see the movie split into three movies; first movie McCloud goes into battle, dies and then gets trained by Ramirez, it ends after McCloud's wife dies and Ramirez is lost in the tower. Second movie is McCloud poncing about through the ages. Visits the near and far east, the new world, makes friends and takes heads, keeps almost meeting the Kurgan. Third movie is The Prize, takes place in New York, friends we've made in the second movie die, in some cases he even needs to fight friends, final fight with the Kurgen.

Also cast Idris Elba as Ramirez. It would make a lot more sense for him to be a Moorish Spaniard from Egypt, which is what Sean Connery's character was.
Oh yeah I watched Spartacus alright, kind of the vibe I think a Xena remake could have.

    absolutely 1000% this.

Highlander is a great series, with a cool premise, some really fun lore and some really, truly awful fight scenes.

I'd love them to redo the series with modern fight choreograpy. Leave the plot and lore as is, fix the... odd casting choices and give that world the fight scenes it deserved.

Star Wars episode 7, 8 and 9 because they were just made with no plan(only to cash in on nostalgia) and therefore just feel like a bloody waste of the viewers time. The prequels at least had consistency and buildup.

They should totally make a Wing Commander series. Movie was too rushed and the scope of the material was hardly touched on.
    ...that's why nobody's touching Stargate.
MGM going bankrupt and current holding company not knowing what to do with the property is the biggest hurdle. The fan base did a internet rally not long ago to drum up support for a continued series. Personally, I'd like a series that picks up a decade or so after SG:U.

Oi, I wanted to write that!

If only we were that lucky. It's a shame that they canceled SG-U after the second season, just when the cast started to find together and it got interesting. The ending is most beautiful though, imho the best ending of all 3 series.

Yup even I rejected it at first. First half season was mostly civvies crying everything being horrible and (WTF SEX in stargate!) ... still the scene with Telford and the Colonels wife makes me chuckle every time. ^^

It took a while but it eventually grew on me. I really liked season 2.
Esp Joel's (RIP) synth soundtrack is just bone chilling. ♥

    Transformed Beast Wars

The base one, not the sequel (the sequel left me with a bad taste), i would even give the show to Netflix as they seem to be used to the idea of 3D animated shows.

~I would rather people think of original content.

Only stuff that needs to be rebooted are movies and TV shows that came off bad at the time because they didn't have the technology or man power to pull it off. With the amount of money been thrown at movies and TV shows now you can probably get some more risks going.

Apart of me would really like to see the X-Men animated or Disney's Gargoyles series to come back, not a reboot just carry on from where it left off, make it an ongoing cartoon similar to how long the Simpsons has been going. Strange we never had such a long running kids show like those and I don;t see why we couldn't

Perhaps I should specify: I don't want a remake of Stargate.
I want new stories to be told in the existing universe because I like that universe.

I would like a reboot of Reboot. They tried and it was horrendous. I would really prefer a continuation of the original since it ended on a cliffhanger.

Id like a reboot of Surface(2005), was really mysterious but got cancelled after 1 season.

TV series: Earth 2. I’d settle for just a continuation as I thought S1 did well for world building and long plot threads, it just never got to pay off a lot of them.

Oh god yes, I always remember that TV show from my Childhood and have literally never seen or met anyone else that has ever known about it. Clancy brown is still alive so it could be a "what happen 20 years after they have landed and have dealt with the natives"

    I'd love Reboots of:
    Sliders
    Stargate
    Something new in the Buffy/Angelverse
    Plasmo

Firefly. But not a reboot. A continuation; original cast.

Not necessarily rebooted, just bring back The Muppet Show properly.

And I don't mean bring it back like a Reality TV show, a late-night Network station, them as pirates, them doing ANYTHING else....

Just bring back the classic vaudville theater with variety act. THAT was what made the movie "The Muppets" many years ago so successful was it played on that wonderful nostalgae of that great legacy. Its sequel failed because it then tried to do what killed the muppets later... have them out "in real life" doing goofy capers.

Just bring back the damn theater, with vaudville-style variety, along with a guest every story. Boom - done.

That's as good pick. No idea they were making another.

@OP As many other posters mentioned, I don't really want any because pretty much everything being done is a blatant cash grab capitalizing on our nostalgia and very very rarely are done properly.

If I had to pick something, Last Starfighter as per Endus, and maybe...Oh God... The Guyver?

Blech... I got up to a good portion through and had to hang it up. It was just porn with some semblance of a plot. I got to the point where Cleopatra showed up and I said "I swear to god if that big guy (forget the violent one's name) ends up having sex with her, I'm out!"....

    ...2 episodes later, I was out. >_<

    The Brady Bunch.

    Yes, I said it!

A white Mrs. Brady, Marcia's a feminist, Jan's gender fluid, and Cindy's Chinese.
Mr. Brady is African American, Greg's a jock, Peter's gay, and Bobby is handicap after a go-cart accident.
Alice is a Cambodian immigrant who bottles her breast milk for the Brady children to drink.

    YOU'RE WELCOME, NBC!

    Quantum Leap.
