He was not actually acquitted, the case was dropped, and went to an out-of-court civil settlement.
So basically, if someone accuses you of rape, then your legacy deserves to be tarnished, regardless of whether or not it’s true?

Rest In Peace Kobe, and his daughter. Reminds me of when Steve Irwin died, and how unexpected that was.

For a certain group of people, that is unfortunately the way they view the world. Just ignore them and move on.

I have heard about so many deaths from helicopter crashes recently. Vichai, and now Kobe. Shit is not safe.

Sala didn`t die in a helicopter.

This is really sad. I remember when we were in high school arguing with my brother who was the better player. Kobe (who was at the start of his career then) or Michael Jordan. This was years before LeBron when you could credibly throw Allen Iverson and a few others in the mix.

    Too soon.

They showed the area where first responders were. Lots of cloud very low clouds or fog.

My guess is an unfortunate case of bad flying weather disorienting the pilot who flew into the side of a hill / mountain

If there's plenty of evidence, and it goes to trial, and I end up paying her a cash settlement, then... it would absolutely be part of my legacy.

You must be really sad to be trashing someone's after dying , to bring it up only after he passed .

The news needs clicks, news sites are literally some of the biggest moral lacking pieces of shits in the world, i bet if they could cause natural disasters and kill 100's they'd do it each day just to have better news to tell.

Shit is safe. Usually the crashs come from Human errors. In Kobe's case, it seems you couldn't see shit due to an extreme fog, hence the rescue helicopters weren't even allowed to take off.

In the case of Sala, it was one of those (Or one of the later variants):

Pilot flew when he shouldn't have because of fog. Apparently, before the crash they radioed the pilot and told him he was flying too low.

I heard on the news this morning that there was rapid acceleration before the crash, seeming to indicate mechanical failure (dropping from the sky), as opposed to a straight and consistent path ending abruptly, as would be the case of a low-visibility crash.

Obviously it's all speculation and the NTSB says the results of the investigation could take up to one year to be available.

People are giving helicopters a lot of bad rap.

Helos fly everywhere every day, thousands of times, thousands of hours, without incident. They're safe machines.

    This was one unfortunate accident.

Seriously, can you people lay it off? I would like to say something with an f word, but let's be civil.
Just one day passed, yet you are riding your moral high ground about a case which ended with acquital. Great, it really helps... who, exactly? Rest of his family?

Human error from the pilot most likely.
Do you hear the voices too?
