Gms are not longer players in WoW

I remember back in time that it was possible to see the Gm ppls in the world... Now is they are only chat?

Maybe players felt it was a conflict of interests, so they opted to have them stay out of sight. Do you think there an actual problem with this?

That was already a fading over a decade ago.

No idea if they followed other companies and outsourced their customer support there but most things previously handled by GM's are now automated systems.

I have never seen a Greater Bamboo Lemur in the wild, that doesn’t mean they are not there.

And? This had been the case for quite a long time. Since at least Cata I believe.
I found I enjoyed the game significantly more when I stopped paying attention to all the people on the forums telling me how much I am supposed to hate it
All this complaining is simply further proof that Blizzard could send each and every player a real-life wish-granting flying unicorn carrying a solid gold plate of chocolate chip cookies wrapped in hundred dollar bills, and someone would whine that Blizzard sucks for not letting them choose oatmeal raisin.

The amount of GMs spotted in the wild is so low they could have not existed.

i remember the good ole' days of seeing videos on youTube of GM's appearing and doing fun and engaging stuff randomly in the world. wasn't there a video back in Wotlk with a raid doing ICC and a gm appeared and spawned like 3 world bosses and killed them all?

It would definitely be nice to have GMs out and about more. It'd definitely help bring some life to the community. Especially if the GM randomly creates a crazy scenario in the world that brings about a big server event just for the fun of it.

Because they are online, but "phased" onto their own realm, simliar to officer chat for guilds. "Members Only" can see it.

    There aren't WoW GMs anymore
Blizzard has customer support that takes care of all their games at once.
That's why the CS has been less specialised for a while now

I believe GMs no longer need to be ingame to help players now. IIRC, they now use an external tool that allows them to do anything they could have done in game. It's why the GM Island was removed; GMs don't need to be ingame anymore anyway.

You can still see them in the world but you won't know if they are a GM or not unless you've found out/been told.

If they need to handle something 'onsite' at your character, they do it while phased away from the rest of the players.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

I remember seeing a GM wipe out a bunch of players that found an unattackable/reachable place in Moonglade during Lunar Festival. I was dead in ghost form and had just sent in a thicket about those griefers managing to avoid the guards and just killed people near the vendors. Moments later a GM appeared, blue/black robes and all and just nuked everything in that area. The griefers died and didn't return. Never seen a GM since.
Believe it was back in early TBC if I recall correctly. Not sure if I still have screenshots of it somewhere.

It's a shame GM events are a thing of the past, some of the ones they did in EQ were amazing.

One once came and followed my random LFG PuG through BFD. It was super weird, they just floated along (they had a levitate type float on) for a few mins randomly chatting in /say before disappearing. Still have no idea why they were there. Just to mess with us I guess?

    Not longer or no longer?
    GMs are no longer players.

I think that GMs not being in the game anymore is a stupid move. But hey..if that's the way Blizz wants to do it, we can't change it sadly. T.T I had a few interesting convos with gms that were not busy. RIP!

So everyone can complain about missing it, how Blizzard was forcing them to log on, how it was all a plot to make certain streamers be their friend, etc.

Brotha, I love you, but you can't continue on being the guy who wants to create unnecessary negative scenarios from something meant to be positive. Just roll with something cool and positive and let it be. Painting a pessimistic picture is not cool my dude.

Notice you didn't say I was wrong, some parts of the playerbase have fallen that far and would do exactly what I claim.
