Almost nobody has been asking about it.

The few people who bother to post on a forum might've asked about it or commented on it, but they're barely a fraction of the market. Most Blizzard fans don't even visit these or any other Blizzard-related forums.

So anything Blizzard did based on this would've just been an easy excuse for them to go low-effort and low-costs on the development of WC3:Refunded.

I am astounded in an age where remakes of Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 2, Links Awakening are out with 3make and FF7 on the way there are Blizzards down with the ship brand defenders going "if this is so bad whats your standards for a remake?!?"

Just how brainwashed are brand loyalists? Theres absolutely nothing to gain by making a corporate brand your personal identity and hill to die on and they certainly are not immune from fuck ups as Blizzard has proven time and again in recent years.

I have to assume some of these people are the "im a gamer, but only play games on the blizzard launcher" types that live in a total experience vacuum.

1. yes, we do remember them, you can see them in this very thread.
2. yes, they literally announced a year ago that they would be no longer updating the cinematics and stuff, and would not change the lore.
3. its not an update, its a remaster.

It's not a remaster , it's a reforged. The strathome cutscene is still advertised. And no fucking comments in the youtube vidéos about that. Or they are completely drawned in the "ho my god I need this" comments.

And it's pretty obvious that most people wanted it.

Writer Christie Golden, who has worked with Blizzard on multiple novels set in the Warcraft universe, was originally tapped to help bring “parity” to the stories of Warcraft 3 and World of Warcraft. Except that is literally 2 months before the intended release. Seems like they just didnt have time and said "that's getting cut". If they really intended to do that they would have said that earlier. They were radio silent for an entire year. Plus, people dodnt even know the range of changes blizzard were making. Blizz could easily recognize where the spirit of the complaint came from and adjusted. That still doesnt excuse downgrading the quality of the cutscenes.

Which was always a hilarious complaint, because they were just going to add a few missions to flesh-out secondary characters like Jaina and Sylvanas, they were never going to retcon or change anything.

got a refund (in germany)
just wrote that the technical bugs are to much (like the instant defeat screen) + clunky animations and the main reasons in their advertise for buying the game weren't ingame.
when all the bugs are gone and everthing they said is ingame I'd like to play but for the time being I want my money back and reforged removed from my account.

Again. That is Blizzard's fault for not understanding what the complaint meant or where it was coming from. People didnt want Sylvanas to have different motives and be a completely different character than she did in classic wc3. That doesnt mean there couldn't be another mission. That also doesnt mean they had to cut the cinematic camera.

I will admit I didn't want lore changes, but I also didn't want them breaking the old game or cutting the more dynamic cutscenes.
