A hotfix implemented tonight has lowered the requirements to purchase the rank 3 version of the following new essences (rank 1 earned from the Black Empire campaign intro quests) from exalted to revered, which lessens the grind by quite a bit!

• Breath of the Dying - Token of Death's Door (DPS)
  
  • Rank 1 Unlock - Black Empire Campaign Quest Chain
  • Rank 2 Unlock - Obtain 3x Breath of Everlasting Spirit over 3 weeks by completing one Minor Vision of N'Zoth daily quest each week.
  • Rank 3 Unlock - Reach exalted (revered) with The Uldum Accord and purchase from Provisioner Qorra for 50 Corrupted Memento
• Spirit of Preservation - Focused Star Point (Healer)
  
  • Rank 1 Unlock - Black Empire Campaign Quest Chain
  • Rank 2 Unlock - Obtain 3x Breath of Everlasting Spirit over 3 weeks by completing one Minor Vision of N'Zoth daily quest each week.
  • Rank 3 Unlock - Reach exalted (revered) with the Rajani and purchase from Zhang Ku for 50 Corrupted Memento
• Touch of the Everlasting - Death-Resistant Leaf (Tank)
  
  • Rank 1 Unlock - Black Empire Campaign Quest Chain

no. The Cloak Quest is current Content and it doesnt take very long to get it since you can skip the longest Part anyway

The cloak requires 1 Scenario to be finished, atleast put some effort into it.

As someone who has done it around 15-16 times now, yea, it really doesn't take much time at all. Got it down to just over an hour maybe? I don't time it though.

Rank 2 is the quest once a week for 3 weeks. After that you get R2 for offspec doing it once.

it's only less grind if you don't want sockets on all your gear. if you want sockets you still have to do the dailies for coalescing visions.

We NEED some system to make essences easier to obtain by alts.

Even if they made them easier, people would call for them to be even MORE easier... it's a never ending cycle.

Could they be a little easier? Sure, make it honored instead of revered if you already have it. Should they be free? Hell no, put some effort into your alts or you don't really want to play them.

This is no rush and mostly for characters that will have bis gear. I don't have to do it on every alt anymore. Without pressure of "get exalted asap" I can focus on doing 3x invasion per week + mini visions daily and be fine.

The whole "have to grind for the sockets!" things is just silly. It's really nothing more than a nerfing mechanism overall (on top of other things) by the time a lot of people start even getting them their progression will be over.
