This is kind of a serious question, but I'm just curious as to how those cope with being single this time of year. Everyone is out and about celebrating with their significant other and sometimes I just feel lonely. Just the other night I went out with some friends I hadn't seen in a long time and they all brought their wives and I was the odd man out. Normally this wouldn't bother me but not having at least one person to spend time with sucks.
Right now I just plan to stay and home and watch a movie on Netflix or something but the whole time I'm sure I'll be wishing my EX GF was laying there next to me :'(

@itzLCD Same way I celebrated my birthday. I'm going to go out, have a good dinner, wander around the mall, watch a movie, maybe stop by a bar and get chatted up.

With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.

Even when I was married I didn't always do something for Valentines Day. Sometimes it'd just be "watch a movie" or "play video games" or "same as every other day". There's way too much pressure put on the idea that Valentines Day needs to be a day for special romantic stuff, when special romantic stuff can be any day of the year, and if you're not doing special romantic stuff then you're doing something wrong.
Do whatever you want, but don't wallow in sorrow over not having someone to be with on the 14th.Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

I don't know couples who actually bother with Valentines Day. It's cool except it's designed around commercialism, turning affection into a dollar sign. Its also as good for mental health of participants as unhealthy/unrealistic body images portrayed in the media.
The only cool thing about it this year is that it's on a Friday. So if you are down with hooking up with strangers it's a good time to get out there and shoot your shot.

my family's never really celebrated any holidays very much, except buying me fireworks for my birthday.
so i've never really cared to do much on valentines and always felt embarrassed getting forced to do stuff for it by teachers. so, i guess what i mean is the same thing i've done for it for 20ish years, nothing. basically forget it's a holiday.
