It's actually kinda funny you just out and admit that you view minority causes as a political liability when y'all have been screaming for months that Bernie's camp doesn't have a brocialist problem. XD

I.e. "Policies catering to minorities are a political liability".

I.e. Exactly what people accuse the Sanders camp of believing.

“Vote for me because I’m a woman, and if you don’t, you’re a disgusting sexist” is not a good position.

Identity politics doesn’t cater to minorities. It just lets affluent liberals act morally righteous while the lives of minorities don’t actually improve

I think it was an accidental brilliance. She seemed a little naive during that entire process, but ended up getting strong and better and handling things like that, while also getting the issue out of the way.

Ultimately, I've decided that it doesn't matter.

Yes, there were issues with her taking the bait. But she then used that as a springboard to educate herself on Native issues and did the legwork necessary to demonstrate she had grown and learned from the experience. So in the scale of the universe, it at the least balances out.

Of course, it doesn't carry quite the same chant-ability as "Lyin' Liz" or "Pocahontas" and is too nuanced a take for Trumpkins or Bernie Bros. :upshrug:

Indeed, which is why literally no candidate this cycle has adopted it.

Identity politics doesn’t cater to minorities.
    Lol.

What the fuck do you think Americans mean when they say "identity politics". Christ and Allah.

CNN calling it for Sanders. Which, it being that close to Mayor Pete, is interesting. Warren should have done better with MA so close. Biden left a few days ago, but there is concern about the status of his campaign. If there are any big name resignations in the next two weeks, be worried.

NH was only going to be anything if Sanders didn't win it. Everything else is for pundits to spew over for the next two weeks until a primary happens that matters.

That would be INSANE. Where are you seeing these number comparisons?

MSNBC, Steve Kornacki the numbers guy on the channel said at 90% the turnout is higher then 100% 2016 and might be higher than 2008 primary in the end.

At the very least, what this might indicate is that there's absolutely no chance of the GOP getting the House back.

Idk, Warren is getting dangerously close with her praising Klobuchar nonstop for being a woman.

Identity politics is nonsense pandering done to make it look like you want to help minorities when in reality, you don’t really do much for them but want to virtue signal.

Also, Bernie has way more support amongst minorities than Warren does. Some Warren staffers in Nevada even quit because they were being tokenized. I must say, it’s not very woke of you to support Warren over Bernie.

Bro. This is some next level gaslighting on your behalf.

You are literally demanding someone to admit to something that they in all likelihood (considering all we have on this one is the personal credibility of Warren v Sanders, in which case Sanders' credibility is much better than Warren's) never said, to mitigate the backlash from a textbook political attack.

    Fuck off dude.

At the end of the day, there's no hard proof that Bernie actually said such a thing, and given the circumstances and his history, it's highly unlikely. What is astounding to me is that we have Biden on record literally saying the exact same thing Bernie is accused of like a week before that debate, yet nobody on team Warren is calling him out.

It's insane to me that people are piling on Sanders for this crap, when Warren literally faked a native american heritage and nobody seems to care.

And we're throwing away Rogan's endorsement? Why?? The dude has a larger media presence than most cable news shows, and many of his supporters DON'T VOTE. Who cares if they think trans people aren't real? We just need them to show up to vote in November. The Rogan "debacle" is one of the most hilariously bad takes from people who think they know politics at all.

Which isn't remotely the same thing as "vote for me or you're sexist".

Or am I supposed to take Sanders' supporters crowing about the first Jewish president as them saying not voting for him is antisemitic?

    If so, prove it.

And I dunno, sure did help me being actually able to marry my partner even if I did have to put up with Joe Rogan calling me a faggot prior to that.

So, the "I have a black friend" argument, huh?

Bernie's case for his electability is that he'll bring out so many disaffected young voters that it will offset all the moderates who don't like socialism. But college turnout is down. This would be an enormous liability in the general.

Overall turnout in Durham, home of the University of NH, is DOWN from 2016. Same goes for same-day registrations.

It's a critical town for Sanders, who focused on college students and won there in '16 with 70%+.

    Well that's subjective.

Which is the entire point. I expect a future President to handle controversies with a lot more grace than Sanders has ever done.
