As for today, the already implemented measures are limiting peoples lives by a lot. A simple thing like going to the supermarket is a nightmare, as supermarkets don't allow more then a ceartain amount of people inside the shop, there are lines to get in the supermarkets, same with pharmacies.

Nº of confirmed cases still growing, 448 cases here in Portugal.
We're not at the stage of Martial Law yet, but I was told there was 90% chances for that. Haven't checked stores yet since yesterday, but chances are that they will soon mobilize the Civil Protection to do those kind of things, if not the rest of the Army not busy with Hospitals and Logistics.

We are currently at 2700 cases with 25 fatalities, with the curve similar to the one in North Italy...

2000 people were barred entry at the border as of now.

I don't disagree with such measures, the anti vaxx knowledge is based on nothing and has far reaching consequences. The truth is that parents do not always know best.

I mean 30 year olds are getting hospitalized by this, fun time is over for these knuckleheads.
a vaccine with dubious human safety testing or waived requirements may well be worse than NO vaccine.

I assume you are familiar with the sars vaccine side effects. they may well have contributed to outbreak severity of some cases in china.

read the NIH literature on the topic and tell me you want that vaccine.

Zero exceptions to this because some idiot hung out on the wrong corner of the internet.
see above. if they waive safety testing or requirements, this is arguably worse than no vaccine.

Because there is a side emphatically at fault. There is no even stevens and this is not a time for putting our differences aside. It's a time to demand accountability as to forestall future failure.

The Trump Administration refused millions of WHO-provided testing kits for no reason other than he personally didn't want bad headlines for the next news cycle or two. And as a result, hospitals have a mere dozens of testing kits available. Dozens. It'll take weeks to supply them with what they should have had 2 months ago.

Donald Trump did this and his supporters enabled it and both _will_ be held accountable. When people's grandparents are denied rationed ventilators, every American should remember how we got here and who decided to prioritize trolling SJWs for saying stupid shit over, you know, actual fucken Presidential leadership.

Trump supporters were weak and failed America. And now people are dying for their failure. I hope it was worth the lulz. I imagine it won't be when it's _their_ grandparents who don't get said ventilators.

The link isn't leading for me but I heard the same thing, they also made sure to point out that these were also in perfect laboratory conditions where the virus isn't disturbed by the environment.

    I understand that.
But rather than run from something that's likely inevitable I posit that more control is better especially regarding those that fit the majority that will easily deal with it with no consequence beyond building immunity.

Trump is full on retarded if he can't even grasp that a reasonable response to COVID19 would have actually made him look good rather than the idiotic "muh numbers" bullshit we got from him.

Relax... Just a cold, most likely.

    So it has finaly begun.
Trump will try to introduce something like that too.

And you can be 100% sure that these methods will remain even after the virus has been defeated. Just like the human rights violating Patriot Act.

Because right now, it's a terrible statistic and would only cause more panic. Authorities don't want to people to realize the ratio between deaths and recovered.

Could you imagine it on the news and how that would drive more fear?

185k cases and 105k sick, dead, or not recovered is... not a great stat.

    Italy is doing pretty bad.

Most of China's deaths were in Hubei 3111 out of 81k cases.

Italy is sitting on 2158 deaths on 27980 cases.

Just heard over the radio that Americans have been hoarding guns and ammunition over the Covid-19 pandemia. Think it was ammo.com or something that has something like 70% increased sales on ammunition? Guess you could try and shoot the virus out of the air or something.
