Fallout 4 had some amazing music too. My 2 favorite pieces of music from it:

Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.

    There are many great soundtracks.
If you want it more retro but also melodic, there's VVVVVV. The music fits the game perfectly.

This is a hard question, lots of games have great soundtracks.

    World of Warcraft
Gotta start with World of Warcraft, no music inspires so much ambience and raw emotional in a video game, especially during WoW's earlier days from vanilla to WoTLK when the music was more ambient, I enjoyed that sort of style more.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Also I must add Legend of Zelda from the N64 days. Now I am not sure if its nostalgia but I always kind of like how music was handled around this time. the instrumentals are just so soothing. Although its mostly nostalgia too :P

    Transistor
Gotta put this here. My god before Transistor I wasnt aware music could be this good in a video games. When this game came out I downloaded the soundtrack and used to listen to this on my way to work 3AM in the morning. Seriously this might be my favourite soundtrack of all time for a video game.

I see that you all have some good choices, but you are all wrong. The ONLY answer is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers

    Castlevania IV
    Mario Odyssey
    Final Fantasy VII
    Super Mario World
    Undertale

Also, I'm playing a game called "The Messenger" right now and it has a really great soundtrack.

Considering the age, Gyruss was absolutely awesome. I remember the cabinet having very nice speakers, so the bass really stood out.

Some really great picks here, but I can't top Apotheosis:

Breaking through the cloud layer, the mountain within reach, it's the most beautiful thing my senses have ever encountered. I thought "oh, I'll buy the soundtrack!" but it's pretty hard to sleep to it when you're full of adrenaline and your eyes are burning from the tears. Oh well.

I'll give a runner up award to Hat in Time though, I still keep coming back to this. Great controls, great soundtrack, great everything.
