With so much RNG right now in WoW it's impossible to have BIS gear. No matter different skill caps.

But how close am I to the BIS skill cap? No idea, my DPS can really vary with different essences/enchants. I just think that there's no BIS gear in terms of skill cap.

What exactly is making it impossible?

The Mythic+ chest is kinda messing the whole thing but there is no Titanforging.

So you can have BiS corruption and have many pieces of your best secondary stats.

I just wanted to look at some NEAR perfect characters (T_T) possibly have a "winner" among us?

Well, I have rank 2 stars and twillight devastation...I feel good already. Gear dosent matter anyway unless you use it.,..I will farm a lot of islands in BFA eventually, so gear will speed that up, but else....meeh.

Im buying a +15 every week until I get the mount, doing that or even just a +10 every week gears you up so fast anyway...

OP if you wanna see good gear just go to worldofprogress and sort by Item level.

For the content I do? Done gearing a long time ago. I'll probably be able to 5 mask solo run horrific visions as soon as I get my cloak to level 15 and max my research at which point I'll have done the content I care about in 8.3.

I've had plenty of coalescing visions to get me the final stretch, but every time I'm about to enter a vision I lose all motivation to play and go play something else. I don't find them all that interesting at this point, especially during Stormwind week.

Like i was pretty much maxed out for the level of raiding I do [no time for mythic raiding, but i do my weekly key and heroic raiding]. Until today i with exceptional luck was pretty much set [got my second unguent caress last week]. But this morning with reset opened chest and Lo and Behold, get 465 level pants with not only a socket but infinite stars, bumping dps up by a whooping 17% if i just equip it, or 13% if i cleanse some items to bring my corruption down. 13%!!!!!. i honestly just stared in disbelief for a bit (then i spammed my guildies to annoy them with my luck).

long story short. corruption is definitely making this so that if you dont want to stop, then you cant stop.

I'll admit it was after a dry spell of 2 shitty weekly chests. But it does feel awesome. I've been logging on just to see how hard I can hit things now. Its been insane. With two unguent carreses, stars, tentacles and destra trinket shit has just been exploding.

...I have no idea if I'm close to the mighty BiS status or not. The 'Zoth is dead, made the 5-mask runs weeks ago, etc. My gear served it's purpose but it's not BiS at all. I did want a Twilight Devastation piece and I got that, so I felt kinda complete.

Keep in mind that the dps increase is a theoretical increase. Personally I take Infinite Stars dps increase with a shovel of salt.
This might be because for me the theoretical dps of it from sims (aka the average from multiple simulations) is the top end I can get, with half of it being my average. That might just be because RNG hates me, as I see guildies with lower ranked Infinite Stars corruptions (both ilvl and actual rank) double my damage. Especially fun to see fellow raiders having 28 hits of it while getting 14 myself.

Kinda frustration speaking, but the point is there is no BiS, there is only Best in RNG rolls for triggering the corruptions you have.

And before all you neckbeards shout that they did, no. No they didn't. Corruption is exactly the same as TF. Or possibly even worse since it can basically autopilot you to 30k dps with the correct corruptions. And you need the gear that you want to drop WITH the corruptions you want. So yes, its exactly the same system. RNG on top of RNG. This time we get spell effects in stead big letters on the gear that say TITANFORGED.

oh i totally agree. I have seen ppl with it having crazy dmg as the stacks rack up but that doesnt mean that what raidbots says is what ill get. It does keep the gear roullete wheel going though.

I am literally waiting for a severe piece to drop to call it BiS and its the only corruption piece I havnt seen drop.

Skill Cap(?): Cleared Mythic about a month ago. Balance druid.
In my "default" (no grand delusions) gearset I have 2 gushing wound pieces (470 socket ring and 475 offhand from m+ box), two 12% haste pieces (legs and wrists, both 465 with good stats, one from PvP and one from Visions) And one flex piece of a mastery proc, void ritual, crit proc, haste proc or mind flay tentacle depending on how high I want to take my corruption with the last piece. I have all the trinkets from the raid, a max ilvl weapon with socket and BiS azerite pieces. Apart from sockets, I consider myself to be rather close to a realistic BiS setup for the current amount of corruption resistance available.

I also have a good setup for my primary offspec (guardian) with the lifesteal weapon from the raid, around 2.1k versatility and 1.9k mastery unbuffed with an additional tier 3 versatility proc on an already versatility-heavy ring. I am missing N'zoth's tank trinket though, which is absurdly overpowered.

I am DONE with my main. Not gonna bother with the others.
I do LFR at most.
I don't minmax secondary stats or corruption effects.
My cloak is Rank 9 and it won't progress further for the same of progression, but will most likely take it to 12 by the end, just for the transmog.
I am ilevel 450 and really don't give a poop about going higher.
