So did the student loan forgiveness of up to $10,000 not survive the final package? That's kind of what I was hoping for the most, at the amount I'm paying each month I'll have my student loan paid off by the beginning of next year, but it would have been great to have my debt wiped out now.

World update: Spain's death count surpasses 3,600, with an overnight increase of 738 deaths, making it the highest death toll in the world behind Italy.

The Trump campaign doesn't seem to grasp how the Streisand Effect works. By making it clear that they don't want people seeing this ad, people are going to look for it so they can see it for themselves so they can see what the fuss is about. So by issuing the C&D, they are guaranteeing many more people are going to see it.

I honestly do not know what's worse here. The fact our federal leadership is so inept that we're relying on the state governments and certain corporations to fight this battle that we seem to be losing on a daily basis. Or maybe it's the people that continue to defend Trump's actions as more and more Americans bodies pile up because they were more focused on what Nancy Pelosi did with the last version of the bill. Either way everyone needs to stay safe...it's going to get a hell of a lot worse with both of those things combined.

1) The earlier draft that had low-income people get less money was removed by the Democrats.
2) Which means the amount is $1,200 per adult and $500 per child and $0 per adult dependant. This is less than Pelosi's House version. That's why Pelosi is on the record looking for more cash in the next bill.
3) Your gross income counts, not your taxable income. Sorry, people with a lot of investments and real estate, but those loopholes you use to not pay taxes won't work here.
4) Illegal aliens don't get it. Anyone who claims they do is a fucking liar and should be called that to their face.
5) There's some talk of using debit cards instead of paper checks. I'm not sure why that's the way they're going, but if it's faster, whatever.
