World of Tanks got very attractive 2 free weeks of premium account.
BFA is terrible expansion and making players get back is quite important.
I suggest give all inactive and active accounts one month of free play.

i won't lie, it's nice that blizz gave a 100% xp boost for a month because of the virus but i don't have money to waste on wow right now because i haven't worked in close to 3 weeks. the xp boost for a person like me is completely pointless. to me, it looks like blizz is trying to get people to resub for the xp boost. that might be me being jaded because i can't afford to waste the money right now but it's how i feel.

Since when is charging more than zero greedy? Blizzard is not charity, it's a business. It's pretty simple. If you enjoy the game, subscribe and play. If you don't enjoy it, don't. If you enjoy the game but don't have the money, then I would suggest that obtaining gainful employment should take higher priority over playing a video game.

Yeah, none of those games are doing anything to help you. Since there is a surge of potential players, some are trying to attract a group of them by offering something that they hope a certain percentage will decide to pay for going forward. In other words, it is in their financial interest to offer something for a short period.

Clearly Blizz has determined that providing a free month isn't in their financial interest. My guess is that they determined that offering a free month won't attract enough people to offset 1 month of losses with the existing playerbase.
