me thinks its not a coincidence.

Anima i think is intentional, considering both instances of it describe a vital life force. The Maw being related to the Sha is more shaky i think, considering the Sha is supposed to be representations of withered trees, and ash and the like. Not to mention the Sha had different colors, not just gray, the strongest two being red and blue instead.

I honestly think it is just a coincidence, as both are supposed to show something being completely dead, as opposed to mostly dead.

I mean, of course it's not a coincidence - the concept and term of anima is literally a Latin word and has always been connected to those concepts. Something that's been around for 26 years is bound to have a lot of reoccurring terms that aren't mutually linked, especially something as broad as Warcraft.

But since this is Warcraft lore, inevitably things get crammed in that they're related even if they weren't planned as such.

Not in relation to the Sha, just something that connects Mogu to the Shadowlands or in this case the Titans.

Mogu and the Titans don't really have much to do with the Sha though. They were enemies, but it is not like one massively influenced the other.

The Anima link though is one i would imagine is genuine, as that seems to be taken directly from when Anima was the cosmic power Highkeeper Ra used.

Tbf I bet if they'd add a mount with that appearance, it'd use the animations of a Yak or some shit...

Overall they're bad at translating mount concept art into impressive in-game iterations... aside from store mounts, that Vulpine Familiar has amazing animations...

Yeah, you are unfortunately right. Hopefully they have some new models with new skeletons this expac. Lot of reskins lately.

Pretty sure once they knew the audience wanted Wrath of the Lich King, they figured each expansion can last 2 years thus breathing life into Classic for at least 4-5 years.
