Testing is of course important, but it's just testing after all. Not going to directly save lives per se; helps to slow down the spreading though.

The reality is that everyone who is not immune to the virus will get it sooner or later, it's that contagious and widespread. There is no stopping​ it anymore.

I'm hopeful that the clinical trials in NYC will add to the change...and the recovery rates.

It very well might be. they are saying they'll be making 50,000 a day eventually up to 5million a month, they won't be able to send em out fast enough!

While I don't disagree, many people are waiting 7+ days for results right now, meanwhile they are stuck in a single room unsure if they are contagious and possibly give it to their aging mom and dad. That has to be agonizing.

The world is so crazy right now, in addition to the coronavirus, our weather is messed up, too.

The meteorologists just gave a bush fire warning and snow storm warning at the same time for the same area. Like literally wtf. And there was the record snowfall for this winter in the southwestern region of Finland today - the day after we changed our clocks to summer time. There hasn't been pretty much any snow in the whole southern half of the country during the winter.

Now it's snowing....and at the same time it's so dry and sunny that bushes and grass may catch fire. X_X

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet here, but Orban just became the dictator of Hungary today. The parliament gave him absolute power and no elections will be held until he decides otherwise. The legislation was passed because of the corona emergency.

This is literally identical to the Reichstag fire in 1933 and what Hitler did.

Well, there's a tiny difference.

There are some suspicions that the Reichstags fire was started by the Nazis - but obviously Orban didn't create Sars-Cov-2. What this shows is that smart authoritarians are also opportunists - he saw that he could use the crisis and to that effect.

Is China still open to foreign travelers? I'm sick of the situation here and would like to move to a safe haven like China. Their healthcare system and leadership in handling this whole crisis have been nothing but phenomenal.
