What kind of revival? A continuation? Reboot?

Either way I would watch it!

This better be true. That 90's X-Men animated series is right up there as my favourite animated show as a kid (right next to Disney's Gargoyles and Batman the Animated Series), its what got me into X-Men, although I had a few of their comics before I saw the cartoon. But the cartoons made me really get into the comics

If they do revive it, then will they continue and do Season 6? Season 5 was a bit of a let down, although the first half of that season was pretty good until they changed animators.

They have many more stories to catch up on and do their interpretations on since it stopped airing. Onslaught, Zero Tolerance, Grant Morrison's Run, Generation X, Joss Whedon's Astonishing run would fit great in an animated series. Messiah Complex", ther's so much.... although some X-Men stories might be a bit dark, but its never been one to shy away from that before.

Also I hope they have a more revolving roster. It really gutted me out that Iceman, Nightcrawler, Angel and Psylocke didn't have time on the roster and only had feature episodes. Angel had a bit more screen time and appeared in a few episodes though

Either way I want it to be true that they are going to revive it, but I am very cautious because this is Disney now.
jeremy conrad who is usually pretty reliable says his source says something x-men related is definitely in development for d+

"Earlier today people noticed that Disney+ added new X-Men account icons. While most people including myself didn’t think these meant anything major, in the hours since they were added I’ve learned that there is something related to the X-Men in the works. I doubt it’s something as crazy as a live action series or New Mutants (will explain why it may not be that shortly), but there are a couple options what it could be…

It’s possible they could be adding some of the older Fox movies to the service in the US, as they’re available in other countries, but some have said that HBO has some kind of deal in place for the newer movies (such as Dark Phoenix) until 2022. That would likely rule out New Mutants too.
A while ago the creators of the 90s X-Men series said they were going to pitch a revival to Disney. Kevin Feige is reportedly a fan of that original series, and he’s in charge of all Marvel television now. The icons added are of the 90s X-Men and not the Fox era versions. This is the most exciting possibility of what’s going on.

If they’re already adding more X-Men customization to the service, it’s very possible what’s being planned isn’t far off from being announced. "

the creators want to continue it.

they certainly need to raise the x-men brand before rebooting it for the mcu.

I have a feeling that when we do get mcu x-men theyre going to be very comic booky,

the fox era black montone suits and the hyper seriousness of the fox movies might have done okay when the first x-men movie came out all those years ago but we're in a whole new world of weird with guardians and eternals, taikas movies, and everything else.

the 90s x-men with their poppy colours and vibrant powersets and personalities fits in perfectly with the jack kirby love fest the mcu is moving towards in the future

Personally id say jubilee is going to become very mainstream soon

I'm not so much concerned about if they can get the original voice actors back, though it would be amazing to hear George Buza again as beast, but what I'm concerned simply.. is it being on Disney+.

When they revived samurai Jack it was with a company that allowed the writers and animators to go to the next level and have more freedom. Disney simply won't offer them that kind of freedom.

yeah I remember reading that. You can hear the tone of his voice being similar to how he played beast. Nice cameo they did that for.
Like some saying though, many of the voice actors that played the x-men are pretty old now, in their 70s or more, so likely their have to look for voice actors with similar. I mean in x-men evolution he was played by Michael Kopsa, who did a really good job of him.

I grew up watching evolution and only got to see the 90s x-men on toon disney/jetix when i was older so they've always been the definitive x-men for me

its genuinely scary to think whats going to happen. We can pretend like nothings wrong and everythings going to be fine, but its pretty obvious things haven't been fine with current marvel for a while now, and whats happening in the world right now has just escalated this collapse.

As the guy said, the comic book industry was built upon a capitalist society with supply and demand. Now that its been infested with people who follow a socialist or communist outlook, none of the values or meaning behind what made comic books work is there anyone within the companies themselves.

In something like this you need people who understand the market and giving the people what they want, rather then thinking your sole ideals are more important then marketing to the real consumer. Its just sick seeing an industry that knew for decades how to appeal to people, now is in the hands of those who are just incapable of doing so.

Scary being in context to how something that's been running strong for decades can just collapse in just a few years of bad choices.

Sick because nothing was done to stop it.

What, I need to explain the joke to you next?

Someone expresses how passionate they are about the decline in quaility of comics throughout the industry and you step-in to belittle them for the sake of it.

Pretty much the standard response readers like the OP have been getting the last few years, all the while quaility and sales of new, weekly comic books decline.

Running strong for decades? Really? You know Marvel nearly folded years back. That's why they sold off the rights to X-men an F4. Comics were on the verge of collapse for YEARS, before the MCU triggered the latest wave of interest in the characters. Marvel have been going strong for a while now, regularly beating their Distinguished Competition in monthly total sales.

YOU may not like what they're putting out, but people clearly do. A lot more than they like what was being put out in the mid to late 90s.

Exactly this, except they had the aplomb to use current Fox News buzzwords like 'socialist' and then 'communist' because when you use them next to eachother, bigbrains know they are the same thing. Since they make you sick and they are scary, they must be evil...because good things don't make you sick and scared. SJW is an acronym and too modern, we gotta get back to the old terms to make people afraid of the invisible boogeyman again in order to start deploying nukes and turn into a dictatorial regime.

Like, come on guys....do they need to explain the Republican playbook to you next? /s

I still dont quite understand how someone with the background trassk does has become so anti-sjw and right wing, although perhaps they always have been and their persona is merely a facade. Wouldnt be the first time someone has done that.

VA? I am talking about Marvel's Hercules :P

    This guy

Unless you mean a voice actor of a Marvels Hercules TV or animated show I am not aware of :P

For as long as I've seen them posting on this forum, they have been consistently like this tbh.

    Correlation doesn't equal causation.

And yeah, I will belittle trite and hyperbolic arguments because they're... trite and hyperbolic.

Trassak has a tendency to not actually partake in the medium or even do basic research into the nonsense he spouts but constantly post malarkey which is more times then not factually wrong even when it’s pointed out he does the same thing again and again.

When some one post in such bad faith a bit of belittling is to be expected.

I do believe at one points he said he was gay but he also said he agrees with heelvsbabyface who has said things like gay people should bottle up how they really feel and let it fester so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just a facade.
